I just talked to Dr.P,he has assured me that Rozerem is safe to give Ri, safer than falling asleep while she is awake to tear the house to shreds (which is a nightly occurrence now) He wants us to try giving it to her for a week and then let him know how she is doing.

I am going to give it another try. I feel better about it after talking to him and being reassured about the patients he has on it. Ri has had some bad experiences on meds so I am always gun shy when it comes to them.

Maybe after taking it for a few days the irritability and unsteadiness will wear off? Tonight we will try again…

(((Hugs))) and prayers for lots of sleep. Is it maybe like the AEDs where you have to give it a little time to get over the initial side effects? So hopefully in a day or two she'll be over the (can't remember what you said) wobbliness/dizziness side effect and be fine?

we didn't get to give it to her tonight, pretty intense tonic clonic sometime around 6, then she went to sleep until 8, woke back up then had another one about 20 minutes ago, she is sound asleep on the floor where she had it. I am almost afraid to move her, we both may sack out in the living room, the prospect of going to sleep before midnight is very exciting to me, seizures or not, I will take the sleep...

Maybe tomorrow night we will start the rozerem and deal with the irritibality and unsteadiness :) ugh, side effects...

I hope you both got some much needed sleep last night.
