 While recuperating from Lyme Disease (and Bell's Palsy) I came down with Mono. Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi blondehart. I have heard of others who have Mono and Lyme.
Are you still being treated?

it was very frustrating in that the Doctors did not want to connect Lyme disease with Mono. I am rested and am feeling better, but have had no new treatment for either the lyme disease or mono.

Do you still have Lyme symptoms? Were you treated for Lyme until you were symptom free plus at least two months longer?

no, lymebytes...I was treated for one month at detection of lyme disease (due to bell's palsy) , then one more month when my tests came back w/an elevated lyme results..with antibiotics. Altho I'm seeing the director of infectious diseases, (and went to see another dr), I didn't feel as if my treatment was aggressive enough. By the time I got the mono, I was so tired & beaten down, that I gave up. I am now getting my energy back but it has been a slow journey.

Hi blondehart. It sounds like you were not treated long enough. Often, infectious disease doctors are not the best to see for tick-borne illnesses. I know it can be difficult to find the energy to fight, but you deserve to feel better.
If you would like a doctor recommendtion, please email me or send me a private message. With proper treatment, you can get better.
Hang in there okay?
