View Full Version : More nausea
Today has been a particularly bad day for me in terms of nausea/vomiting. I am not asking for suggestions, really... just empathy, I guess. I am SO SICK of throwing up. Plus the throwing up makes it so I can't keep anything down... and then not eating triggers my mito symptoms... so I end up not only nauseated, but exhausted and in pain with weak, useless muscles, autonomic dysfunction (fast heart rate, blood pressure all over the place), moody... plus if I can't keep food in me, I have to go to the ER for IV D10, and we all know how fun that is (especially when they don't take me seriously because they don't know anything about mitochondrial disease even though I've been there a zillion times and the docs all know me).
So yeah. I don't know what my point is, other than to complain about my nausea/vomiting and about my stupid disease in general. Mito sucks.

Kira, nausea again is reason enough to come here. I know how much I hate the feeling and I can't imagine what it would be like to go through what you go through all the time. At times venting is enough of a reason for coming here even if there are no answers for your problem. I wish there were some way to help you feel better but I know you haven't found a way yet.

Kira,
I completely understand about the nausea and vomiting. And as Mark said, every reason to come here and vent. I think the N&V is probably the thing I HATE the most! Or rather the dizziness from meds and then comes the N&V. You definitely have my empathy.

Kira - I really feel for you.
I do suffer from nausea a lot- but not anywhere near to the level that you do.
And the amount I experience is VERY distressing and depressing for me -- so I can only imagine how demoralizing it is to feel caught in that cycle you are.

Kira,
Hope you're feeling better. One of the best things about BT is the fact that anyone at anytime is more than welcome to vent. No responses are needed and it feels good to write how we feel. It's theraputic to a certain extent.
So, vent away girl.
As far as the nausea and puking go, I would personally rather have pain than be pukey. I feel for you on that point.
Pain free days,
Pete
