Dr. appt about Ms contin & urine retention

Dr. said that the inability to urinate is definately from the morphine. I was still taking it at night because it helps greatly with my sleep (this has been a life long problem and worse lately). When I awake I will wait 4 hours, take the MS sulfate as needed here, then take the other Morphine. Then there will be another 4 hours lapse before I take it again at night. This isn't the perfect solution, but it will allow me to empty my bladder in between. If I take all these doses back to back I'm afraid my bladder will rupture, it really got full last time.

If this doesn't work, I don't know if there are any other choices, dr. didn't seem to think so.

Gimpy, I hope your timetable works and allows you to empty your bladder as needed. It would be a shame to find pain relief but not be able to use it because of retention problems.
