Hey everybody - been gone a while but I'm back and doing fine
For those of you who don't know me, I've been diagnosed with Myoclonus (no specific kind) for the past 4 years or so. I used to take Klonozipam(sp), but it made me feel awful.
I found out not too long ago, that I have a hereditary "folic acid gene deficiency". I've learned that folic acid is found in B12. This gene deficiency does run in the women in my family. However, no other family members (women or men) have Myoclonus or any symptoms of the like(unless they just don't want to tell me for some reason). Anywho, that lets me know that at least my case is not hereditary.
Since young childhood, I have never had much energy or motivation to do much. I told myself "well, maybe you're just lazy". But, since I've discovered this "revilation"(lol), I've been taking B vitamin suppliments. I must say, I've never felt more motivated in my life!
I used to be prone to depression every few months. I thought it was because my menstral cycle was so irregular. (it could very well be) BUT, since i've been taking them, I haven't felt the same way.
Mind you, i'm not advertising B vitamins as a "cure all" or something like that, I'm just sharing my story. I am a firm believer in the phrase "too much of a good thing is bad".
