Thanks Steve for linking to the article as I can't sit through most of the shows. It is a dirty business and a reason that doing so much business with China is bad for the U.S. Contaminated dog and cat food, counterfeit drugs what else are we getting from this under regulated market that causes us danger? I wish we would step up on limiting products from China and it also would reduce our trade deficit to them.

Steve,
I caught part of it and thought it was very interesting...but also made me mad of course. I hope they can get that technology they were speaking of in place; it may help. But I am not so sure everything will be as scrutinized as they would like it to be. So, I kind of agreed with the lady speaking at the end (didn't catch her name); just check your pills, labels, etc. for anything not quite right. But even so...how would the regular Joe even know what to really look for other than some tampering or a discolored pill. And I am kind of referring to that one vial that was just clear liquid. It is a dirty business as Mark said. And well, I for one, do NOT and never have bought any meds or supplements off the Internet nor do I use the mail order. Then again, they did say it can also show up at your local pharmacy.

RFID technology is becoming more common .. it is the same technology that they use to "ID chip" pets and some of the new VISA credit cards are using it as well.. Walmart is using it in their distribution centers to track pallets with merchandise on them. Right now the RFID chip costs about $0.25.. when they get the price down to ~ $0.01 - which is coming - you will see it in just about on everything .. it will replace the bar-coding that we now see on packages.

I had it Tivo'd and just watched it. That was extremely disturbing.
