The California Lyme Disease Assocation (CALDA) has grant money for U.S. medical professionals who want to attend the 2007 annual conferences of the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS) and the Lyme Disease Association (LDA) for the first time. A "medical professional" is any actively practicing MD, DO, ND, NP or PA.
CALDA will reimburse up to $800.00 out-of-pocket expenses for any medical professional actively practicing in California, Oregon, Washington or Nevada, OR up to to $500 out-of-pocket expenses to any medical professional actively practicing in any other states.
Preference will be given to persons currently engaged in treating tick borne infections and those who plan to attend both conferences. The back-to-back conferences are scheduled for October 26-October 28 at the Marriott Boston Newton Hotel in Newton, Mass.
