Hi..an odd question I know :D, I know we had a farm girl here once wonder if peg is still out there or anyone who knows cows, yaks etc..?

Hubby is an artist and Ive been pesting him to draw me a yak or so I thought, I ocas' see this bovine on tv he is so cute I assumed it was a yak w/ a big long tuft of hair between the horns and cute face I think theyre furry too.

I cant for the life of me find an image of one online!

They prob' have a specific name.

Anyway...thanks for input ;) Sorry to be off topic.

Theres prob' a whole field of em' w/ in miles of me LOL knowing me!!

Row Boat,

You have probably already done this, but if not have you tried to find a website for a big zoo, national park, Nat'l Geographic or Wickopedia? Might have a few yaks on "site" one of those places. Good luck & happy hunting!

Sounds like a Scottish Highland cow. They have long reddish brown hair, tufts of long hair between the horns but are generally not as angular and boney looking as yaks can be.

BTW, Peg is still here and you can always find her in the "OT: Chit Chat" thread. I'm also a farm girl for the first couple of decades of life and the family still has the farm.

Were you watching Green Acres reruns, National Geographic or Sesame Street?
Big difference.
