Floods

I was just watching the morning news here and the images of the flooding in central and southern England are absolutely shocking. I've only ever seen one flood that bad here and that was in the mid '70s. All the rest were not floods in comparison. I sure hope that no-one we know lives in those areas affected and that if they do that they and their family members are safe.

Flooding in Texas too I see. Gosh, it's been a wet summer there by the sound of it. Hope everyone from Texas that we know is safe.

When I was 17 we lost everything, home, clothing...a total loss.
Our home was knocked off its foundation and was left with several feet of mud. We had nothing left...NOTHING!
We lived in Southern California, Loma Linda near the famous hospital just outside Riverside Calif which is about 80 miles east of Los Angeles.
Was such an oddball flood...no one expected it.
It really affected me, even today I still think about it and makes me sad.
But I made it and only one person lost their life...it could have been worse, epecially had it hit during the night.
