Hi Suzanne

Good to hear from you, I am doing ok, hope you are too. Had my one year MRA and the three annies they coiled are fine, the other two remain stable.

Had some awful news a couple of weeks ago, my Cousin had a SAH, she was admitted to her local hospital then, four days later had another bleed, they transferred her to the regional neuroscience centre(where I had my annies coiled) where she has been ever since, there has been some improvement (she hasnt been operated on yet the bleeding stopped naturally and things have started to heal) however, she is completely paralysed down the left side from the neck down (she has regained her ability to swallow so thankfully can eat and drink) and her speech is quite good if a little slurred).

She is in exactly the same ward under the care of the same neuro as I was and it was her visiting me last year, this year it was my turn, it was strange being back in the place seeing things from the relatives side rather than the patients side (now I know how my relatives felt), and they say these things dont run in families !!!

luv pam

Hi Pam!

Thanks for letting me know the board was back up! I also had to re-register to get back in, so I think my name has changed a bit.

Very sorry to hear about your cousin. Sending her positive energy to stay strong and recover soon.

Congratulations on your one-year MRA. That's great news! I think I told you I had my 6-month angiogram to follow-up on the re-coiling I had last January. My doctor told me to see him in 2 years for another angiogram. I have a referral to see the neurologist for a check - we'll see if he has anything else to add.

So glad to be back. Take care,

Diane
