Need help to add picture to my profile

Please take me through the steps to add a picture on my profile. I have a picture on my computer in a file -now what do I do. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi hydromom,

For Profile Picture...

Go to

User CP

Edit Profile Picture

Upload Image From Your Computer:
Click ... Browse

That'll bring up a window and should show where you save your pictures or clips.

Double click on the photo you want and then it'll fill the box where it says Browse.
Then click Save Changes.

"Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 100 by 100 pixels or 100.0 KB (whichever is smaller)."

For Avatar

If you're actually wanting to make an Avatar to show next to your name on all your posts, (which is different from the profile picture) you go to

User CP

Edit Avatar

Follow same steps as for profile picture except note that "The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 100.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

Save Changes

If your image is too big there are a number of ways you can change it to fit the allowed size.
I use Irfanview myself, but know others have different ways of doing it.

This is my problem too. I went to these places and for picture and for avatar it said invalid url. I used photobucket and haven't had problems using it anywhere else.Any ideas?

Sometimes photobucket changes urls for some reason or another. Is the image no bigger than 100x100 or 100kb? If it's too big maybe that's causing the invalid url (haven't tested this yet but will over the weekend).
