I thought I had posted this on here but I dont see it so maybe I missed it.. So I will post it now.. I will copy and post the former post and then add the new post and pics also. :o) Seeing Mili's post about her new dog made me think of it.. :)

Sunday before last after church Nathan came in the church and told me that Adam said a lady had thrown a kitten out of the window of her car because the kitten had scratched her and they wanted to keep it.

I was HOPING it was a girl.. I already have two cats at home a female (about 14 yrs old) and a male (about 4 -5 yrs old). I wasnt sure how two males would get along. I really DIDNT want another cat.. I WANTED A DOG.. lol IF I was to get another cat I wanted a RAGDOLL or MAINE COON..

Oh well.. HE is so cute. He has EXTRA toes on his front paws. I will try to get pics of it when I can. I took him by the vet just to ask the front desk about him (so I didnt have to pay).. I was right about him. 1. It IS a boy. lol 2. He is about 10 -12 weeks old 3. He is underweight (2.9 lbs).

We think we have decided to call him "TC". It can stand for either Toe Cat for extra toes, or Tough Cat for handling being tossed from a car, Tender Cat because he loves to lay in my lap or my chair and be pet.

We also thought of "ET" for Extra Toes.

The Lord was showing me this morning that he could be just as good as a service dog in some ways as TC was laying in my lap. He was comforting as he was laying in my lap and I was petting him. I DONT have to worry about who is going to watch the cats when we go somewhere because all I have to do is leave them home with food and water and their litter box and I do have my grabber for picking things up and I do have my walker (with a seat) for my walking and balance. Cats are less expensive than dogs because they dont have the heart worm meds and extra stuff like dogs do.

lol Look at the difference in size btwn my other male cat (Baby - named because of his baby blue eyes) and TC in the same bed. Baby gave up the bed awhile ago and actually Autumn used to use this bed when I had her.. NOW TC uses it.. I THINK Baby is either Ragdoll or part Ragdoll..

THIS is a picture of Baby and Myacis (My 14 yr old female) in thier beds next to each other.. Baby is cream/white color. Myacis is tortiose shell

Here is TC in the same bed Baby was in...

Right now the older cats ARE NOT happy he is here. They have pretty much stayed OUTSIDE.. Tho thier food is inside so they have to come inside to eat. I cant feed them outside because the raccoons and coyotes will come up and eat it.. So will the duck and geese.

He is becoming a LAP cat to me.. He is always wanting MY lap. He wont lay on the boys laps like he does mine. lol He is here now laying under my keyboard. I sit on my recliner with my keyboard on my lap. A little bit ago I got up to get something to eat and laid him on his bed and went in the kitchen.. a few seconds later he was in there UNDER my feet laying down or looking up at me. lol when I went to the other side he moved under my feet. Then when I came in here to eat he jumps back in my lap HOPING to get some cereal (which he wont) and then lays down to go back to sleep. lol

Here are some more pics I took of him up at my moms. We went up to my moms to visit and had to take him since I've been feeding him some can food to try to get him to gain some weight.

The shot clinic will be in town on July 28th so he will get shots on the 28th (I hope I have $10.00 then)..

Here he is in my moms plant..

I hope Im not boring you with him.. I have debated getting another kitten to keep him company and to keep him away from the older kitties.. He has tried antaganizing the older ones by jumping up and getting their tails and when I have the other male in my lap TC will try to jump up in my lap to get him and the older one will freak out and I dont need that in my lap.

Blessings,

Oh, gee, ((((((Gina)))))),

He's got the *CUTE* turned up to 180 :D I love the picture of him sitting in the basket.

It's funny how different every cat is. My last 'batch' of cats -- 5 of them -- all settled down and slowed down after 3 years old. After I lost all of them to old age and illness, I rescued the Mother of the 3 that I have now.

They're over 8 years old and they still haven't slowed down ;) Right now, they're all hogging my bed. As soon as I go over there, they'll all move to the sofa. Creatures of habit they are :)

Thanks for sharing the new pictures. I was getting low on my daily cute kitten load.

Hugs.

Thanks. :) I forgot to mention that a friend said that cats like TC are called Hemmingway cats. Named after Ernest Hemmingway. He had one of the first cats with multiple toes. Now in his Mansion there are 60 cats and over 1/2 have extra toes. :)

Adam (my PDD-NOS son) says it is his cat because the one cat we had to keep in his room disappeard and we think might have been killed by the coyotes out here.. BUT I said if he is yours then you have to clean up after him.. lol He wont do it so I say he is a family cat like the other 2. lol All our pets seem to adopt ME as thier owner. It frustrates the boys. But Im also the one who seems to treat them decently. :p .

lol NOW TC is awake and FIESTY. lol He keeps attacking me. lol

He has also noticed my BIRD (who is 20 yrs old).. I have to BREAK him of that. NONE of my cats can have my bird..

Sadly one of our pet mice died this weekend while we were gone. :( Adam and Noah were crying when they found her.

I've seen cats with an extra toe on each foot, holy moly that looks like an extra PAW on that foot! I love unique stuff like that. The markings are absolutely gorgeous. I hope the cats work out their cat-ittudes about the new kitty. What a rough start, geez. I'd love to have cats, absolutely love to, just can't cause of the rats. And hamsters. And 10 birds. Maybe cause of the frog too, not sure about that. The fish would be fine I'm thinking. So, I try not to get too obvious a 'food chain' going around here, such as felines.

Name that little man "Toe Jam" as in the extra toes, and as in when you whack your toe on a hard object at night in the dark. Kind of a play on words.

Mili,
I have pet mice, a bird (that I've had 20 yrs), had dogs, had guinea pigs, had fish and still had LOTS of cats. What you do is get KITTENS and teach them to stay away from them. You can startle them when they get close or squirt them with a water bottle. TC already seems to know "NO" because like tonight when he was trying to get my cereal or gets near the bird I say NO and he backs away.

He has already jumped on the bird cage and I say NO and get him down. My bird has been around LOTS of our cats and dogs and has survived. He is a cockatiel.

I think I even have a pic of Autumn sniffing him out.

Here is our bird Ashely and Adam giving kisses. lol

Oh and my FAVORITE!!!
Baby and Ashley enjoying each others company...

So you can raise cats with "smaller critters".. you just have to do it from them being kittens and teach them. My older cats DONT touch my bird or pet mice.. yet they are BIG TIME micers, gopher, and bird catchers outside!!!

Milli we have 2 hamsters (Kyle just got one for his birthday) 1 cat and 1 dog and they get along fine. The only problem we have is that the cat is afraid of the Hamsters  go figure the hamsters chase him around with their ball and he runs away LOL :D

Hi Gina
I loved the pictures that you posted. It reminded me so much of the days when we used to have 3 cats living in the house. I've included an attachment so you can see them. One of them named Ginger was an odd eyed cat. She had one blue eye and one brown eye. The Vet told us because she was a female she couldn't make up her mind of what color eyes she wanted but decided to have one of each. LOL The last cat pictured in the plants lived up to be 19 years old. This one was always attached more to me. I really felt a loss when she passed away. This is about 5 years ago already. I wanted to get another one later but my husband didn't want to. He's been in ill health for a few years now so that is probably why. Now I have to have my daughter bring over her little dog for me to play with. She has other animals too. One is a big Lab whose head is about the size of that little dog Muffin. She also has cat with real pretty blue eyes. All of these pets live in the same house and all get along.
I never really had many dogs. My oldest son who has autism was always feared of them. He is 43 and is still feared of them to this day. He didn't seem to mind the cats. I think it was because the cats just kept their distance from him and unlike a dog that is friendly and will go up to you.
He will still look at them but if they try and approach him He lets out a scream as though a monster would be after him.
I'm very happy you rescued that little kitten. You said it is a male . What is the sex of the other kitties you have. It may take a while for the other cats to get used to him.
Wishing you the best
Mrs. J

lol Its funny how cats like to lay in boxes. My female "Myacis" (the tortoise shell) LOVES to lay in boxes. THe other day she was laying in a shoe box Nathan left outside. lol If we have a gamebox laying out she will get in it. lol

On my other cats, The big whiteish one is "Baby". He is a male. He is about 4 or 5 yrs old. The Tortoise shell is my 13 yr old female queen. lol.

Blessings,
Gina Marie

Yeah, I know the cat thing 'can' be done. I just don't want to put forth the effort - I mean I love cats, I love critters that aren't suck ups and totally feel no sense of loyalty or beholding to me (though I had a cat once that was more like a 'dog' if ya know what I mean). There's stuff that seems like effort to some, that seems no effort to others. A cat here would seem like effort to me - unless I had no rodents and birds, that'd be different.
