This summer he has had 3 girls calling him and e-mailing him. I am still not sure how I feel about it all, I am just a little afraid they are doing this to make fun of him. However, I talked to his aid in school and she told me they are nice to him at school. Well anyway, we are going to see Harry Potter tonight and one asked if she could come along if she bought her own ticket and she would meet us at the theater. I said ok I just hope she comes, as I would like to meet her. They also want to go to the Mason Dixon Fair this week and told him to meet them at the Farris Wheel at 6 on Friday, we always go for his Birthday. Oh and my Baby is going to be 15 on Saturday! In all honesty if they do not show up Kyle will not realy care but it would be nice if they do.

How cool is that??!! :D Go, Kyle!!!!!!!!!!!! This is immensely encouraging to me, as Drew is only 2 years behind him, and he's starting to show genuine interest in girls. It's scaring the crap out of his mom , but this is very helpful. Please keep us posted, and congrats to you and Kyle! :) Happy, happy b-day to him, too!! :)
LIZARD, thrilled fer ya :D
That's really neat, MaryEvelyn. I hope you had a good time seeing the new Harry Potter movie and that he and you all have a great birthday weekend. :D

Well the girls never made it to the movie seems it was sold out, we got there at 6 for the 7:30 show and they were only selling tickets for the 10pm show, luckly we got ours ahead of time. The movie was wonderful Kyle had a great time. Now we are waiting for the last book which we will get next Sat.

Awww so cool, three girls crushing on Kyle! Great idea that you asked the aide to make sure it wasn't some cruel prank or something - that didn't occur to me until you mentioned your concern, goot thinking.
I think it's wonderful he's got girls interested in him, just wonderful. There's a lot to be said for sweet guys that don't 'play games', but most girls don't realize it until after their first divorce, ya know? Too bad the movie was sold out, glad he had a good time anyhow.
Good for Kyle and the three young ladies that have the good taste to crush on him!!!

That's so sweet that the girls like him so much. Shame they weren't able to get tickets. From what I've heard, it pretty much sold out everywhere. Bet there'll be a next time, though, and then mama, watch out! :D
Happy Birthday Kyle! Glad you enjoyed the movie!

There is another alternative to watch out for. Our schools are doing these programs, sometimes called challenge programs. They challenge the kids to become friends with others who are different.
I think it sucks.
They did this in our school and there were a bunch of kids who suddenly were interested in my dd. It was short lived and insincere.
The thing is sometimes you don't know until its too late.
This does do harm to our kids.
We had something similar but different happen again recently (another alternative (good grief). A boy asked her for a date, he also has a disability. She can not be sure if the boy is asking her because he want's to date her..... or :( because he social skills group has gotten him to do it for homework. This made the whole date uncomfortable and.... well not so good.
