Just so you know.... we tend to put stuff in here that we plan to edit later, or need to edit later.... can't do that anymore.
Be careful.
Lots of things have changed here.... check the forum feedback for more info

Yep, noticed that. :( I asked for a post on the hydro board to be made a sticky (it's a discussion about a book we're all writing together), and I was upset to discover I could no longer add participants to the list I had going. Sigh...

If you want any editing done after 24 hours, just ask a Mod and they will be happy to do it.

Hey Lizard,
I have had a number of dead links that needed fixing in some info. and research posts that I've made. What I found was the easiest was to post a thread in the **Moderator Connection** Forum which is up under Forum Feedback. I didn't have any problems getting anything changed. I've already voiced my opinions about the loss of the edit feature after a certain time, so I won't do that again now. I anticipated all manner of problems with this 24 hour limit but haven't had any problems myself. I'm sure if someone gave too much information out on the forums that was of a personal nature and they wanted to edit it out a week or a month later, they'd have no problems getting that done either.

I click the red and white triangle with the exclamation point in it (!) in the upper right corner of the post, and then type a message (Hey, can you change this link to xyz please?) and they get to it pretty quickly. Yes, it's a pain. I'm doing less editing than I would do if I could do it myself, but I don't think our full editing is ever coming back.

Well... some of us depended a bit more on that editing feature. Of course now I have to be more careful. Besides making typos, tyoing their instead of there.. re-reading a post later and realizing what yu sad wuz stoopid. Or wishing you had not said anything at all.... duh... what was I saying?
It is nice to hear the mods may edit for you later, although you gotta wonder if the forum ever gets back to its old speed if that would even be possible.
