I can't help but lie all the time. I can't talk about it, but I decided to take out my frustrations on a brick wall. It helped, but my hands hurt.

Gosh....how did you come up with such a cute name such as Buttons?
Tell us more!

You've taken my name & hopefully people that got to know me will recognize that you are not ME.
Perhaps you need to get a life?
Crytears is smart enough to recognize that I don't have a problem with lying & there are no brick walls nearby for me to foolishly smash my hand into!
Buttons2 now because of YOU!

Not welcome here!
When I read your post I knew it wasn't the buttons I've known for some time. Besides....someone with a problem such as you claim don't just post like this then never check and post back.
Whoever you are.....you need to remove this sicko post and find something else to do other than make people upset.
The moment I finished reading your post I knew it was not genuine nor did you want help.
It just doesn't "ring" true and you are out to just hurt or shame the real buttons!
You need to close your post and log off permanantly! Give the real Buttons her name she's used for years....back!
No one will play your games and others will just ignore your post because you are only playing games with people who are caring and genuinely here to help those who are in need of understanding/support.
Good BYE! Go away! Go wash your hands for writting lies....then Kiss my smileyface!
Just now took a peek at this forum. How horrible for someone to do that. Hope they moved on SOMEWHERE ELSE. Their profile shows that they have not even been back. Let's hope that is true, and by any name they have not been back! Sorry buttons but anyone that has ever read any of your posts knows that ain't you. I'm pretty worried at the moment about some personal problems with my health but pray God I never become destructive for any reason.

Rather than attacking a member through vitriolic posts, surely p.m.'s would suffice, along with bringing up your concerns directly with the mods.
What if they're an entirely innocent newcomer? Even if they chanced on using that handle after lurking here for some time, and saw the forum's revival, as an opportunity of expressing themselves, what harm done?
While it's pleasant to vent, there's sometimes a hidden price. On even the chance, whether it is very small or very large that buttons2 is wrong, better to do nothing, than to do possible harm, imo.

The person wrote it in a manner that doesn't ring true.
When I first read it, I felt it was a spam because there has been other post similar to this using other peoples names.
The poster never came back to read my PM filled with sympathy inviting "Chats".....as well as others who posted same, but later removed the post reply...nor have they responded to the thread.
They posted this thread, logged out and never came back using that name.
Who knows what other names they have used as its easy to do. You can also follow where people have lurked....easy to do by veiwing Profiles......That is why I beleive this person is posting this just as a "joke".
If not...then I'm truely sorry they have such pain.
In the future, I'll be careful not to be so Pyroclastic and use such caustic and sulfurous denunciations!
Gosh....I should have known better...but my PhD is in geology....the viscous crainial matter sloshes around at times!
I should have remained Instrusive.

Well, cheryl, the sooner your suspicions are reported to the mods, the sooner they can flag that person's IP address, send them cautionary P.M.'s, and start tracking such behaviour, especially in terms of 'hit and run' posts under different handles.
Especially now that this forums' site does not require confirmatory emails during registration, anyone could I suppose, show up under a dozen or more different handles, and the only defense becomes blocking their IP addresses, once their activities have been brought to the mods' attention.

I'm the original Buttons, I didn't even think to check about my name being "stolen" before I re-registered.
I figure this was a one time troll on here.
Cheryl has been my friend for sometime now & was only defending me!
Afterall it IS an anger management forum.....
Let's just forget about it & get on with being helpful/supportive OK??

Rusty, you are absolutely right, I don't own the name Buttons. Keep in mind that most of us wouldn't be here if we didn't have some type of "brain issue". I'm not usually an angry person-very much have opinions & let them be known, but this was the first time since I discovered BT that I recall even going to the anger management thread.
On the old BT I was active on many different forums & my first thought when I read the post was that people from the old BT would wonder what on earth had come over me!
Yes, it did make me angry,I felt like someone had stolen my identity. I'm over it & glad the person never became active here. I will continue to sign as Buttons.
I have to assume if the person was genuinely in need of our help they would have responded in some way.....and yes, it is sad that this person felt the need to post here & never return for whatever reason. Let's try to help those we can.....
Take care,Buttons

You do not own the name buttons.
too many judgemental people here...
Yes....in fact we DO own our individualized names...this is exactly why no one else can use it ,log on, receive private messages, or any other "transactions".
Our password or user ID is one way of safegaurding our individuality.
When we register onto a web site such as BT...we are asigned a user name of our choice for the duration of our visit and or long running ...why else would they make passwords a secret?
Its because we are given that "name" and have full ownership of such.
BT did not safegaurd our old user names after the "big crash"....probably a factor that hadn't been considered as Web sites are basically "new stuff", and no ones come up with a handbook on "How to fix crashed & broken web sites"!
So we've had to do our own "policing" in some areas as we navigate new frontiers.
RustyD....how would you feel if someone logged on and used your name in this same manner....after you'd used this name for some time.
Would you feel OK with it if they wrote something embarrasing using your name for the entire world to veiw?
All a person has to do is change just one dot or tittle...such as ****styD. to make it the same as what you've used and enjoyed knowing people recognized your signature for some time...then after desperatly trying to log onto the new OLD BT...then discover what was written under "your name"! a statment that was totally out of character for you.
It would upset you no doubt....stolen ID no matter how insignificant YOU feel this is....feels terribly icky.
And now you're finger pointing saying we're judgmental!?!?!?!
The only reason you jumped in and posted a reply was to be judgmental! Sad! Yes, very sad!
My goodness....cut us a little slack....we HAVE apologized...but this person only lurked in the one time,
never came back or bothered answering a very nice Post Message.
Anyway you cut it...the post written just didnt ring true.
There were other post just like this one....trying to throw people off, or thought it funny.
Numerous others have been upset as well also complaining their NAMEs were stolen.
This tell you that we do have a sense of "ownership" when it comes to our good names!
If this weren't the case, then why do we use the same name each time we log on?
If not...then perhaps you can change to a name anytime you please....afterall you don't own that name!
So yes....what name chosen to register under does belong to that individual....should never have been available for anyones taking.
This is why we were so upset and made accusations towards this person, coming to each others rescue....gosh...isn't that what freinds are for?
Please don't call us judgmental because of this one incident in the 2 years we've rallied round here.
We are just hurting souls in search of understanding and freindship inside a world of pain. Perhaps because of our long term suffering, we're not perfect and whole....but we are good and helpful people....not the judmentals as you so named us here.
You came to this conclusion rather quickly childishly pointing it out for others by stating "You don't own that name!"....Never considering perhaps you may not have seen the entire picture!
Who is being judgmental here?
Sad indeed!
Give it up! Paaaaleeeeze! Enough already! Gosh....I wish my pain wasn't so terrible all the time....and I felt well enough to spend time being judge!
I could think of better ways to spend my time...perhaps do or say something uplifting for others!
Now....lets go do something nice for a suffering soul!
Be a blessing to others.
No one will remember what you said or did......
But they will remember the way you made them feel!
