Thank you for the nice welcome. I have 3 annies that I will have surgery on this Friday July 6th in San Francisco at USCF. Has anyone else gone there for this type of surgery (clipping)? I am very nervous but know I made the right decision.

Lorene,

Happy to see you were able to post. I had two Annie's and one was clipped,it wasn't as bad as I thought. Yes I was sore and it took time for the nerves to come back but it's a sure fix and I'm glad I had it done. I'll be thinking about you on the 6th and my prayers are with you. Rest well after your surgery, don't try to do anything recovery takes months.

Thank you for the nice welcome. I have 3 annies that I will have surgery on this Friday July 6th in San Francisco at USCF. Has anyone else gone there for this type of surgery (clipping)? I am very nervous but know I made the right decision.

Lorene contacted me by email because we are very close to one another (about and hour). We exchanged 3 or 4 emails since Monday. She is scheduled for surgery tomorrow to fix one of the 3 annies, then again on 7/10 for the other two. She is at her Pre-Op appt today 12:45 PDT, and goes to surgery tomorrow. She is somewhat apprenshive, about going under two times so close together and having had a EKG just this week that did not "look good" but her doctor was sending that report to her NS as UCSFMC.

She has family with her, and I asked her if she would have one of her family members let me know as soon as she is out of surgery tomorrow and how she is doing. When I get the word I will post it here, she goes to surgery tomorrow moring around 6am, so I would exepct to hear something around 2 or 3 in the afternoon.

I told here to think positive and look for the ray of sunshine. Let's all pray for her.

John, thank goodness you're close to her and can be of comfort to her and her family. I will definately keep her in my prayers for the surgeon to keep her safe and her recovery to be swift and uncomplicated. Keep us posted! Positive thoughts coming her way!

Haven't heard anything yet but I am not too concerned, she may be out of surgery by now and her family just has not gotten around to sending me an email, text message or whatever; I expexct to hear something by late tonight or tomorrow.

I received the following cellphone text message at 2:29PM PDT 7/11/2007,
"Second Surgery went well CT Scan and Angio all checked out fine."

Seems she is on track to go home as scheduled on the 14th. I have been getting these updates from either her family or a close friend. Lorene promised to communicate personally as soon as she is able. When I hear more, I will share the news until she is able to again post here herself. Looks like the thoughts and prayers paid off again.:) :p

I promised Lorene that when I got the good news she was awake and doing well I would let out a big WOO HOO, here in Sacramento and she would most likely be able to hear it in San Francisco. To compliment that I replied to the text message with:

"Great News! She will be home soon. WOO HOO!", just in case she didn't hear it, I'm sure her family will pass on the message.
