There should be a law that says if you can't get social security, Voch Rehab should help you........

This being tossed back and forth between these agencies is absolutely ridiculous!!!!!

Same goes for Senior and Disabled services......I think that if you have children, Senior and Disabled Services should be able to help you.....it should not MATTER (and its discrimination..... ) I've been discriminated for having a child for work and also housing, this too!!!!!!

DHS/Welfare should have a department that addresses disabled clients, it does not...they just ignore us.....and Senior and Disabled Services is not helping........you can't get social security and Voch Rehab makes excuses too.......

It's just not right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi- Sorry you are going around the merry go round. I found to get Social Security Disability, everyone is rejected automatically the first time. If you can find a lawyer or law student who works pro-bono (free), have the lawyer write a letter. It makes a difference. Best of luck.

I have a lawyer....in fact, I was just sent a letter that I will be having my 4th hearing before an ALJ in the next few months, my claims were kicked back down from Federal Court (for the 2nd time now)....

Hopefully, this hearing in front of this judge will be better than the last time when he racked me over the coals for being divorced and for writing my congressman.

I called my attorney with questions (the letter said to call if I had questions) I hope they return my call soon, its been almost two weeks since I've called them.

I hope that I can find some answers soon, my TANF grant runs out soon........it's too bad we can't go through Senior and Disabled services to help us with our disabilities, but we get discriminated against for having kids.

spitball, that is not true about "everyone getting rejected the first time".YES, most people do, but not everyone. My husband was approved after 48 days. We had great documentation from the Dr and everything they could possibly need right there.
He has a serious heart condition.
