Have any women tried yohimbine or any herbal supplement that seems to help with both increasing desire and enhance (return to pre pain level) pleasure?

My current meds are cymbalta (just started 2 days ago), oxybutynin, norco and soma prn, multivitamins, L-Arganine (for increased desire and it helps some), spirulina (for energy also helps some).

I have chronic headaches (20yrs), recent back and neck pain from a car accident, and depression for 20 yrs.

Thanks---

Because you're severely B12 deficient.
I spent months of taking this green suppliment thats loaded with Hawaiin Spirulina...which is loaded with B12...but because of having some illnesses we don't absorb well...thus causes B12 deficinecy which causes fatigue.
Once I got on Methyl B12, a better form of B12, that is put under your tongue, sublingual, so your body can absorb the large molecule of B12.
Please read what Rose has written regarding B12 deficinecy...you'd be doing yourself a huge favor if you took this...I promise you'll feel much better once you've taken this a few months.
Just scroll down to Vitamin and Mineral Def forum here on BT.
Read what Rose has written about all this to learn about this.
Also...have you heard of trigger point release done in vaginal area to help painful intercourse?...if thats what pain you're refering to that is.
If you want more info on this...just Google Search this...or contact me and I can give you some links to this info...works wonders!
Pain meds sometimes work too good....numbing areas you're not wanting numbed! Not only lose desires...but not able to enjoy sex.
Unless you wait till after....then take your pain meds!
Been there, done that!
Hope this helps you. cheryl

Yohimbine is derived from Yohimbe tree bark, found in Africa..It causes an increase in Testosterone production, which is great for some men, but in women causes facial hair growth and added muscle mass..I'd research that before using it for enhanced sexual performance..

i hate to be so contradictory right off the bat, but this is wrong. neither Yohimbe bark, nor isolated Yohimbine HCl will increase Testosterone. Yohimbine is an alpha-2 adrenoceptor antagonist, and thus causes an increase in blood flow in some sensitive areas.

now, to a certain extent, this can amplify desire because when certain tissues become engorged with blood, it increases sensitivity. and increased sensitivity can have positive feedback on desire.

now, for the negative effects. Y makes a lot of people edgy or anxious. it can cause nausea. and the negative side effects are especially bad in the bark, which contains mixed alkaloids. so if you try it, get pure Yohimbine HCL, not bark extract, no matter how much someone tries to convince you it's more "natural" and therefore "better". it's not, but run the experiment and try both if you need further convincing, just remember i told you so. ;) and i don't know(no vagina) but i've been told that women tend to have better sexual response when relaxed, so you may not get the desired effect. men have reported this, too, but just as many get spontaneous erections, maybe too spontaneous.

and if Y doesn't work out for you sexually, you can always use it before some kind of cardio for fat loss. mixed with caffeine, it is amazingly effective, and the fight/flight/fright response might even make running a little easier.

oh, and i almost forgot, Y raises your blood pressure. DO NOT take it with ephedrine because they will both raise blood pressure by different mechanisms. and as always, i'm not a doctor, do your own research, you're responsible for yourself, blah... blah... blah...

edit: dang, i just noticed this topic is a year old. oh well...
