Any kind of ache and pain can be part of the syndrome of fibromyalgia pain. Frequently, the pain migirates from place to place, although sometimes it will localize for a period of time.

If a remember correctly, it is your left side that is affected by the cerebral palsy. Try and watch how you are using your right arm and hand as to compensate you may be stressing it causing the achy type of pain. Be sure to keep in touch with any of your doctors that manage your CP. There may be some physical therapists that could help you modify the way you move and function to get the best way to avoid further pain or injury. Cheerio.

Don't forget that muscle pains, weakness, fatigue are all symptoms of Vitamin D3 insufficiency.

Many many people have less Vitamin D in their systems than is desirable.
Vitamin d deficiency is often misdiagnosed as Fibromyalgia.
I have never heard of anyone with optimal Vitamin D status (125nmol/L) with Fibromyalgia.

It is very easy to correct Vitamin D insufficiency and The Vitamin D coucil (http://www.vitamindcouncil.com/) has links to sources of supply and recent research.
But as it's June you should be able to correct Vitamin D insufficiency for free by spending 5 minutes laying almost naked in the sun when your shadow is shorter than your height. Turn over to give the other side 5 mins and you will have created 2000iu for free.
As your body uses 4000iu daily you need to repeat this process.
As you are probably (most people are) somewhat lacking in vit d at the moment, you may feel it is wise to have a little extra to build up your currently non existant reserves so repeating the 5mins a side formula will help. If there is the slightest hint of skin reddening they cover up, go inside and read my message here (http://brain.hastypastry.net/forums/showpost.php?p=109188&postcount=45)

Yes this kind of fatigue can in fact be a manifestation of fibromyalgia.....

However Fibromyalgia is generally caused by an underlying disorder and a sleep disorder generally either accompanies the fibro or it is a trigger condition and needs to be evaluated either way......

There was a study done on sleep deprivation in perfectly healthy test subjects within 72 hours they were in fact experiencing the same kind of symptoms common in Fibromyalgia.....

However often times Fibromyalgia symptoms are in the same line as many other diseases and disorders so it is essential that these things are ruled out before Fibromyalgia is ruled in as an excuse for everything.

So the answers are more complicated than a yes or no, they are a could be, maybe, and potentially, rather than a yes or no.....

I am sorry I cannot give you a solid on this....Best thing to do is run this by your doctors and see what they say. It could be necessary to have a sleep study in order to see if you have a sleep disorder. There are 88 different sleep disorders and many of them can in fact cause this kind of drowsiness.

Hi Rob,
I'd like to add a bit to what Fay has mentioned. The fact that you fall asleep while watching TV is basically a symptom of a sleep disorder. Anyone who regularly falls asleep during the day should be evaluated for sleep apnea.
The association of sleep apnea and fibromyalgia is a recognized fact.

The other thing is the effect of a "screen" on your nervous system. The light emitted, and the pulsation can cause problems for susceptible people. Since you already have some neuro related damage, (your CP), I would wonder if this might cause some reaction resulting in sleep. Some people have similar reactions with flourescent lights.

Years ago, there was a pattern of auto accidents on a particular stretch of highway lined with trees. I think it was in France. It was found that at certain speeds, the variation of bright sun and shadow, as a car moved down the road, caused a neurological reaction in susceptible people, and they had a seizure, that resulted in unconsciousness, and an accident. Cheerio.

Have you been evaluated for tennis elbow or another type repetative straininjury. Does your job include repetative work? The symptoms can mimic many, many syndroms. If you had a fall or injury you may want to rule out a brachila plexus injury, thoracic outlet syndrome.

The nerve from the cervical spine tracels across the plexus, trapezius to the shoulder, arm, elbow into the hand and fingers. All of about three feet. Anywhere alone there is a hinge joint a compression can compress and inflame the nerve causing symptoms.

Especially someone that rest their arm for long periods of time. Like computer use, wall or home painters, dental hygenist etc.
Hope youfind outwhat it wrong.
