Doc Heffez is my NS and he is performing decompression surgery on the 6/28 and he is a VERY caring doctor! I at this point would highly recommend a consult with him. When I was going through preop testing this week the tech's told me that he has almost 100% success rate with helping pt's completely reverse their symptoms.
Another lil bit of info, I found him by googling chiairi doc's in my area. He came up, my sister in law actually lives in Wisconson so she called the number and asked for a consult after leaving a Brief message of my details.
Doc Heffez called her baack HIMSELF with in 1 hour, NOT a nurse or receptionist. That's when I knew that he actually cared about his pateints.
I had appt the following week! Took in all my medical reports, xrays, mri's and with in 20 minutes he sd those magic words, I will be able to help you, let's schedule surgery!!! After seeing at least 5 different NS in my area that sd that you have to become much worse before we will risk surgery.
When I pointed that out to him, he sd that the earlier the surgery is done the better the success rate of a full recovery because less nerve damge is done.
I have 3 syrinx's as well so time as been one of my #1 priorities.
I have asked Krashleen to update everyone regarding my surgery and recovery till I can get online my self to do so. So, If you can wan to wait to hear my goes 2 weeks from today and I can tell you more about the man that has been a answer to my prayers!
