...stroke because your kids can't keep their hands to themselves??!! I don't know what it is with Drew, but we can't put anything into the mailbox to mail out because, sure as $h!t, he'll take it and put it God-knows-where. I could cut him into microscopic pieces!!!!!!

Late last week, we got his packet for ESY, and I realized last night that I had to fill out the slip and get it into the mail right away, so I quickly filled it out, slapped a stamp on it, and stuck it in the mailbox, to be picked up in the mail today...so what does he do??!! He F-ing takes it out and tells me he has no idea where it is!!!!!!!!!   G... D....!!!!!!!!!!!! WHERE IS HIS HEAD??!! WHY does he do stupid crap like this? Here I was scared to death it wouldn't get mailed on time (it said to send IMMEDIATELY; it came Friday), so I frantically called the number on the sheet and left a desperate message that I had planned for him to attend, but I had no clue where the slip was, and I left my #.

AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LIZARD, so pi$$ed I could send him away  :(

Oh Lizard, I am so sorry that happened, especially when its something as important as the ESY form. :( I know how you feel though, Jackie used to take my planner and with the Rx's and stuf fin it it IS probably the most important thing in my purse or on my desk. So when he'd take it and at the old place and run into the bedroom and lock the door I would have a major anxiety attack because there was a BIG hole in the wall from a door ding-you know the kind where the door stopper is broken and the door knob goe4s through the wall? Well we're out of there now but I still have major anxiety about him taking my stuff. It is so bad I have to wear my keys around my neck on one of those neck strap things. :p

I feel for you Liz, hang in there, they will call back and understand that the form got misplaced. :(

I'm feeling the steam come out of your ears from here!!!!

Were the folks OK with you getting another copy of the paperwork after they heard what Drew did?

Guess I should be happy that all I'm dealing with this week are doors that are not closed - the fridge door, the closet door, the microwave door, the cupboard door, the bathroom door, the screen door.....oh yeah, and the lid to the toilet (kind of like a door, right?).

Having grown up with all girls in my family - I just need to ask, do ALL boys forget to flush, put the lid down, pick up towels, CLOSE DOORS???? Or is it just my two? (OK, three, as DH forgets about the towels and leaves every light in the house on when going to bed)

I'm not fixated on having things "just so", I've given up on the great dust bunny chase, and I have learned that laundry that is washed and dried is probably as good as clothing that is folded in the dresser. But c'mon, a little cooperation would be really sweeeeet! Maybe I should ask for "closed doors and flushed toilets" for my birthday!

Oh, what I'd give for a housekeeper, a SuperNanny for housework, someone to slap my house into shape!

I left two frantic messages with them, but so far, I haven't heard anything. :( We'll see...If I don't hear from them by noonish tomorrow, I'm calling again.

LIZARD, still breathing, by some miracle!

OMG....don't kill me for laughing, I'm just there so often with Vince, and couldn't help rofl the way you so colorfully and clearly described it all. Now you say "still breathing for some reason" baawaawaa!

Just an idea, can you get a locking mailbox? Or is this just one of many infuriating things in a long list of other things so doing that will just give him more time to infuriate you in other areas.

Any chance he'd act differently if he was the person that got to put the mail in, raise the flag, and take it out and put it on the counter? Not saying it'll work, but not saying it won't. I tried that with Vince, unfortunately Vince discovered it was 'beautiful' to rip up the visa bill and a few others in tiny pieces and make 'snowwwwwing'. Also, he'd just drop envelops, notice it but keep on going. I'd found my Discover bill 3 houses away waterlogged in the curb.

Good luck, I AM sorry about your paperwork and frustration, but can relate to it too well not to giggle at your wonderfully written description of how you felt.

My daughter flooded half of our downstairs with an overflowing toilet a few months back. Murder was on my mind.

oh yeah, till I'm sure there was no blood left in my body beacuse it was all throbbing in my head.... 10 lbs of flour on the floor, 500 q-tips in the toilet, etc...

Matt escaped when he was 7 (I was in the bathroom, bad mommy!), he had escaped before but never gone very far (just the yard or the car) we had 3 kinds of locks on the doors and alarms on the window, all the usual stuff with an autistic kid. This time he was nowhere to be found, I was freaked out! Running around the block, calling DH, total panic, call 911, and then I hear him giggling. He had gone into the neighbors yard right behind ours (opened the gate to their yard) and was jumping on their trampoline. I flipped out at him, dragged him in the house plopped him in a chair and proceeding to tell him how mad I was (keep in mind, he has the language skills of a 9 month old) and how he was in time out and that he was never ever to do that again and so on.... Crying, yelling, etc... Full frontal freakout! He has never gone outside without permission again. So sometimes a freakout works!

Oh, yes, sometimes the freak-out works!! Keith walked out of a store once with his soft drink and candy before I had paid. The store clerk went berserk and it was a bad scene. When I got out to the van, I screamed and yelled and cried and told him he could go to jail, and several other things I probably shouldn't have said. He has never done that again!!

On the other hand, if you freak out over everything, then I guess it would lose its effectiveness.

I'm really glad to hear that I'm not the only one who sometimes totally loses her composure!! Thanks!
