Anyone have any experience with developing a tremor (finger or otherwise) after picking up smoking, or read anything on it? I was diagnosed with a mild essential tremor a few years back, which I noticed shortly after starting to smoke...and I do notice I feel worse (like more jittery) right after having a cigarette.

Now, the obvious solution is to quit, but as you guys know that can be rough - but if I can find any sort of proof that quitting smoking will improve things for me overall, I'd drop it in a heartbeat. Thanks.

Whenever I puffed on a cigarette, my essential tremor worsened, temporarily. Somehow the smoke caused a kind of stress (on my lungs? Veins? I don't know...) that aggravates whatever defect is in my brain that brought out my essential tremor years ago before I took up smoking(only now and then). Don't at all now. The jitteriness & worsened shaking it causes is just too debilitating.

Best wishes in quitting cigarettes. :-)s
