I have an extensive collection of films both VHS and DVD. I have found this web site to be GREAT source of films to add to my collection.

http://www.sffa.com/fotl/

If you have NONE of these then you MUST be NORMAL.

Having ONE will remove you from that undesirable boring status.

Too bad the ignore function doesn't hide new threads started by those put on ignore.

Moderators, I can't read his actual post (thank God), but I'm sick of his "demented" comments. Having MS is enough to deal with, and when I come here, I prefer not to have to read thread titles like this.

But perhaps I should have more compassion for those who are eternally nasty and well um... braindead.

It looks like it's just a list of bad horror movies. I dont think it's anything nasty, altho the only movie on the list at the link he gave that I actually clicked on and looked at had Bill Maher in it (which kind of does make it nasty) I dont think any of it was pornographic tho.

It is sad to announce that several of these films have crossed-over and now appear on cable on a regular basis.

These are great "artistic" comedies that made it to the "other side".

WARNING WARNING WARNING - I recommend them ALL- they are in my personal collection >>>

Many people think highly of "House of Games" (on the list). If you're a David Mamet fan, you might like it though I didn't like it much.

You are 100% correct - that film is both Great and DISTURBING!

The writing and acting are superb! But I get annoyed when he makes all the actors always speak in “Iambic Pentameters”. David Mamet tells the actors how to exactly pronounce each word. I can spot his movies after 10 seconds of dialogue because of the unusual dailogue pacing.

Erin, I think you may have missed his last thread, basically calling us the above title.

Well Scott not all is lost because several contain Nudity. I will not tell you which ones because I want to challange your internet search skills.

But I will say however that if you were to watch them all just for that you would be disappointed.

Most are of the offbeat humor variety. I do not know why Eating Raoul was not included --maybe too much nudity.

That film ERASERHEAD is in a very small (thank God) category called "Midnight Movies" and includes such films as "Pink Flamingos", "Night of the Living Dead", and "Eraserhead".

What about "Lawnmower Man" and "Motel Hell"?

I recognize a couple of those names, but I'm too wimpy to watch these types of movies anymore...

These are more the Midnight Movie type of films. More HORROR then HUMOR.(revised - there is more humor in Motel Hell then most of this type)

The films which I listed earlier that are in my collection are actually quite GOOD!

Thanks for the list -- I've liked enough of them to want to at least try many of the others. I would add "Blue Velvet" for starters ("Hit me . . . hit me . . .").

I also love Peter Weir's "Picnic at Hanging Rock," though sadly no one else I know seems to find it as funny as I do.

"Night of the Living Dead" is a classic, of course; have you seen "Shaun of the Dead"?
