short bowel syndorm questions

Hey does anyone have any info on short bowel syndrome? My mom just lost 90% of her bowel she only has 2 to 3 feet left and has cronic pain and upset stomach and is iv feed 15 hours a day. and still losing weight.

any info would be great.
