Just wanted to say hi and that I have miss this site a lot! I thought it was still down till another member told me it was up and running again.

As far as my condition Chiari and Syringomyelia, I am FINALLY having surgery in 27 days!!!! So, I am praying that my chronic pain will be finally resolved. But I am not getting my hopes up, trying to be realistic too.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and looking forward to talking to all of you.
I see some familiar names but I am also looking forward to meeting everyone new too. I hope that maybe I can help someone like so many of you havehelp me in the past.

O one more thing, I am scare out of my wits about the up coming surgery, as it is brain surgery. Can't seem to get past my fear at the moment, I hope that passes soon too

take care of you
BB

BB, welcome back and more importantly Good Luck with the surgery. I hope this gets you on the path to not being a chronic pain person. I just put my trust in God along with my surgeon before my very invasive thoracic surgery [my lung was deflated and heart was moved aside along with a rig removed] and it calmed me heading into the surgery. I hope you are able to use your faith to calm yourself before this surgery. I wish you the best with the surgery and the recovery. Please let us know how you are doing when you can, before and after surgery.

welcome back to BT. I do remember your name. I used to post under a different alias, so have been here a while.

Hopefully your surgery will go well.

Hi BB,
I remember you. Welcome back. I have been around a long time...probably at least 5-6 years.

A daughter of a friend of mine had Chiari malformation surgery several years ago at John Hopkins. She had alot of other things wrong with her as well but, she is now back to work full time and thriving....doing well.

I assume you must have spoken with others who have had the surgery but, if you have not, I will be happy to get you in touch with her.
Just let me know.

I wish you the best.
