Can you choose a different company for Part C and Part D? Can I for instance use BS for Part C and then choose Etna for Part D for the drug coverage? or do I have to stay within the same company for both?

It is my understanding that you can choose any plan you want for Part D and you are not locked into a previous plan.

Generally Part C is like a HMO - all inclusive - check with the Part C plan before you sign up for a Part D program... doing so may negate you Part C contract or be redundant coverage
