Hi and welcome to the braintalk forums. Most of us are new as the site had a prolonged crash over the summer months so we all are beginning once again.
It is difficult to give advice not knowing the cause of your pain or even whether it is physical or emotional. If you feel comfortable describing your problems in more detail perhaps some of us would have a suggestion. Cheerio.

I went to the Artistic Expression site and read your poetry. You do have a gift for expression feelings and emotions and I am glad to read that you do find some help in writing it.
Were you born with cerebral palsy, or is it the result of the brain surgery? Sometimes, those who acquire their disability later in life, have a more difficult time dealing with it, than those of us who have never known anything different.
Do you use drugs to deal with the physical pain? Have alternative therapies been tried? In the community where I live, the County Office of Education built a facility that has a therapeutic pool. It was designed for use with children diagnosed with CP, but due to funding cut backs it is now open to anyone having a note from a doctor saying "therapeutic swimming required."
The water is 92 degrees. There is a ramp with hand rails and wide, 3 inch high steps for walkers, quad canes and other assisitive devices that people use to ambulate. I used it for a period of time and NOTHING hurt when I got out.
I hope that you are able to find some kind of therapy that helps. Cheerio.

Easily,
Everybody gets sad. Sometimes our sadness can last a long time..your poetry helps you deal with this. you've chosen a good way to help yourself. The worst thing about sadness is that you feel so helpless. You say that yOU cannot find exercises. So here are some for you:
http://reharob.manuf.bme.hu/research/exercises/
You can do these yourself, although each of these exercises is demonstrated using a physical therapist and a healthy person. Best of all, each has a tiny movie, so that you can check out the movements. I have cerebral palsy and no physical therapist. Some of these are hard...matter of fact I can just try 15 a day...and I'm not so great at most of them. But they do give me control .

The pool that I mentioned had a program that allowed you 10 minutes in the pool for every hour of volunteer work. Mostly, that consisted of answering phones and acting as a receptionist at the front desk.
You might look into places that have pools in your community and see how you might obtain use of it. Usually, the limitation is the way you get in and out, as it is a challenge for most people not matter what their impairment!
The suggestion about exercises on line sounds promising. Cheerio.

Wondering if you have a pet of any kind? Pets can really be beneficial for our physical well being as well as giving us a reason to smile!

I get sad a lot, too. I hope that you can get some comfort by talking to folks here. You are welcome to email me. I write, too, but when I am down I find that my writing genes give up on me. I am so glad that your muse stays with you.
Take care,
