Steve Would coming off tramadol

make my BP go up like it has? I am dowm to 25mg for 4 days now. Could it be this. I never had high BP before other than from pain and headaches. My BP is still up a little 165/100 now.

Well I just called Ray my drugest and he told me it could every well do so. It has some thing to do with the brain. I am on 25mg a day so I will stop it. If I go thought withdraw I will. But that stuff is bad for me. I keep a headache every day while I was on it and the itching ect.. The itching has stoped. Now to get my head and BP right again will be great. He told me it would take 2-3 days for BP meds to work. So keep fingers crossed. a little prayer.

I don't know everything you are taking BUT ... Seratonin Syndrome ... might be the underlying cause. 35% Hypertention.

I am on cymbalta 80 mg a day and at night clonazepam and nadolol 120 mg now was 80 mg that is my BP med and the tramadol that is all the meds I am on. After today I will not take any more tramadol.

I have to say I do feel better and I took my BP and it is down 145/98 so that is good it is coming on down. My head is sore but don't hurt. But that happen to me after a very bad migraine.

I do feel better today than I have in a while. I am going to come off the cymbalta now slow.

Steve thanks for finding the update. Like always, the meds we take react differently to each of us and to the other meds we take. It is good to keep up with the changes in the warnings especially with the newer medications.

I believe that part of the mechanism of tramadol is to increase seratonin levels. Thsi is why you have to be so careful when taking it along with anitdepressants.
There is still a debate as to whether or not tramadol is a narcotic. Or just acts like one.
i, for one, couldn't tolerate it. Made me crazier than normal and did nothing for the pain.

Please be careful with taking these meds together. I think i may have read that the tramadol has a long half life and, therefore, sticks around for a while.

Sim you could have gone alnight and not said that.LOL I really hope not. I feel the best in a long time. I still have a long ways to go.

I would not worry about the half-life.... I don't believe that they would have brought out a LONG ACTING tablet if the drug itself.. had a long half life. When you talk about a drug having a long half life... normally you talk about 24-72 hrs half-life.
Since Deb was already on a low dose (25mg)... her blood levels are going to cut in half every 24-48hr worse case.. I would suspect that reality would be more like 24-48 hrs it is going to be out of her system entirely.

What many people - including health professionals - fail to understand is that the clinical trials is done on healthy individuals and/or individuals that are narrowly selected for just one disease state.

When the drug gets out in the market place and it is given to people with other disease states and other drugs... we go into unchartered territory. and sometimes the round brown smelly stuff - HITS THE FAN!

I am doing good. I just feel a little jittery. I didn't sleep last night. My back killed me and the restless legs from the med I take as why. I hope it is better tonight. I took 1 1/2 of the clonazepam hopping it would help me. When I go to the pm Thursday I hope they can give every shot from my toes to my head. LOLOLOLOL. I know that is how that start off. So they better have alot on med and needles on hand.

Well I went to bingo today. I didn't win but I antsy alnight. came home put a gosple cd in that someone gave me it is great. Love it
