Well It is cause I am fat. that is what the Dr told me. wasn't that just nice of him. Told him I ate once aday. it was the cymbalta and thank him for it for me going from a size 12 to a 18. But the lump is not cause I am fat it means something what I don't know. I will find someone to take blood test to see what is going on with my body. Sorry I still upset.

I say it is time to find another doctor as if you didn't have reason enough already. There is no reason for a doctor to have such a bad bedside manner.
try not let this rude Drs. remark upset you. I agree with Mark, time to hunt another Dr. It's not easy, but I have had to fine new Drs. a number of time. The way I go about it is like I am interviewing someone to tudor my child.
There are many good Drs. out there, but not all are right for us. I have to travel 45min. to an hour both ways to see all of my Drs. It seems to defeat the purpose because riding or driving always makes things worse. It's a trade off no matter which way it goes.
Are you any way near some of the super DR. groups that practice at the learning hospital's? If at all possible maybe you could get a referal to one of the Drs. at "Duke". I think that is right but ask others for their opinions.
You need someone to care and one with some passion! I hope you do get to feeling better. I live in SC.and know a lot of people that go to Duke. It may be worth your time to check it out.

thanks you two. I start in Greenville the 31 at PM. I was hoping they could help me find some one there to take over. It is worth a try any way. Not doing the best today either. My head still hurts and I feel weak on my right side. If I get worse I will call DH and he can take me somewhere. Sorry but I really need a shoulder to lean on here.
I am getting to the place that I think it is all in my head. nothing wrong with me. I will try and rest today but I have to babysit my grandaughter that is 4. She can get to me sometimes. But I love her so much.
Hugs
Deb
no matter how much you love your grand's you are probably not up to caring for her. I have grands, I had to announce to kids that my baby sitting days were over. Bring them to visit, but when you go home, take them with you.:D
If you are talking about Greenville SC, Almost all my Drs. are there. The group I go to are great. They also have compassion and that IS important. I hope you will find good Drs. wherever they are sending you.
Cheer up dear, Don't let that Dr. pull you down more. I do hope you will feel better soon. ((((Deb)))) Julia
ps: my grands still love me:)

deb,
Sorry you had to have such a run in with yet another rude DR., no offense to you good ones out there, but it gets really old when the people you not only trust but pay to be there for you and to treat you with respect treat you like a piece of ****.
Good luck with the new Pm and hopefully new DR.

Deb I'm so sorry that your doctor is such an ###!!!! How crazy is that for him to be so rude and blame it on weight. IMHO it's time to find another doctor with half a brain!! I hope you're feeling okay and have a great day.

Deb,
Oh My God! A dear friend of mine went through the same thing. She asked the doctor what the hump in the back of her neck was and his reply was "it's a fat pad, it's because you're fat". I can assure you, that I've known this woman for 8 years now, and we are the best of friends, and that hump at the base of her neck IS NOT a FAT PAD! Chalk it up to sheer ignorance and stupidity when a doctor gives a response like that! I agree with the others, switch to a doctor who is more caring and who you can trust.
Good luck,
Kim

I don't know about Deb's but I do know my wife had a fat pad removed [she has been thin her whole life] from her upper glute because it become painful. It was a couple inches deep and need outpatient surgery to remove it. It felt like a buried cyst about the size of a bean.
