Plaese read this if you are sad and depressed.
Kevin was like my brother, a role model he always had a smile on his face, joking. He loved racing. He did it for many years. My best friend lived with him and her sister. Thelove eachothers life since the age of 13. They seemed so much older. They took care of me and took me in as their own.
I stayed there all of the time hating to go home to my disfunctional alcoholic and abusive family. At times he gave me hope! This man at age 45 hung himself in the garage that he always worked in. Who would have evr guessed, I ahve asked all the whys but come up with no answers. I go over the what if'sd but get no answers.
The pastor said it best Kevin won a lot of races but the one thing that he didn't win his battle with depression. The herse drove around the race track with the flags flying his last checked flag. With his casket covered with his racing stickers. and at the burial duing a moment of silence his car was there with his helmet utop of it, his car was reved up for the last time!
If he would have known how many people loved and cared about him! The church was full but it is too late. I have now seen the aftermath. The great sadness, questions and unfortunatly the blaming of others. Nothing good came out of this, he will greatly missed by his childhood sweetheart/wife, a son traumatized by seeing his dad dead hanging from a rope , a daughter that is angry and blaming everyone, 2 grandchildren that will never have their papa again to hold them and play with them. and His sister-in-law and her best friend that looked up to him and too many others
Good bye Kevin, Thanks for the memories and helping to take care of me and guide me through those rough teen age years!:(
