Morning everyone.
We got our master bathroom and guest bedroom painted this weekend. Looks really really nice! I'm so glad thats over. In other news I have a sore throat. And Larry might possible have shingels again. :( I really hope not! He says his left arm is really aching. I'm hoping he just slept on it wrong.

HI Koober
thats great you got the rooms all decorated - I bet they look beautiful
If your hubby even thinks it might be shingles, have him call the doc for an antiviral - that can nip it in the bud, but you have to start it EARLY
I had a busy weekend of leaf peeping, then worked all day yesterday. Got a migraine at work, but nipped THAT in the bud with 50mg of imitrex that, thankfully worked
am going to try to clean up my garden today and get it ready for winter - ugg, there's a lot to be done
take care all
love,
Linda

Hello Koober & Linda
I've had a routine day at work. I seem [touch wood] to be over last Friday's migraine.
The nights are really closing in. It was practically dark when I came home this evening, and even last week there seemed to be quite a bit more light at around the same time. If I want any twilight pictures, I'd better hurry up, as twilight's soon going to be before home time.

Helen, don't you hate it when you first start noticing it getting dark so early? I'm so glad you're feeling better now - from both your respiratory infection & migraine!
Linda, good luck with your outdoor things today!
Kim, does your hubby have any of the antiviral meds left from the last time he had shingles? Linda is right, if you take the meds immediately, it can keep the shingles from outbreaking completely & it'll go away a lot quicker. He might want to keep some meds on hand. I get chronic shingles & carry zovirax with me all the time so I can take it as soon as I feel it starting.
I feel like I might be getting a migraine but the new lupus meds are helping so much, I'm hoping it won't get bad.

Thanks you guys for your concern about my hubby. I just had lunch with him. He said his arm is feeling better now. Doesn't hurt at all. Maybe he just got a chill in it. We had the slider open in our room last night and it was cold.
Blah I hate having a sore throat! I wish it would hurry up and go into it's cold stage!

Hi Kim, HE and Linda and Patty,
Linda, did I ever tell you that in bygone years, (another life literally) I used to ride and show horses? That's just in response to your avatar. I'm waiting to find out if I'm grammy-sitting (that's gramma doing the baby sitting) for 3 of my girls tonight, tomorrow, tomorrow night and Wed. while my children move from Netanya - north of Tel Aviv to Kfar Chabad - south of T. A. Meanwhile its 9 pm and nobody seems to know whats doing. I just want to go to bed. My head is hurting for hours already and I can't get any percoset for another two days. I have a very good friend who at this point I'm only in touch with once in a great while - but we're very close and one of the reasons is because we share a mutual headache problem. Hers are even worse than mine. I happened to speak to her today and it turns out she was in a very bad car accident awhile ago that I didn't know about and now we share a mutual back problem! I hope things straighten out by Linda42 soon - I miss her. Be well everyone. Much love, Judy

Thanks Esty & Michelle. I'm managing OK. A "good day" is getting dressed lately, but that's still an improvement & I'll take any improvement I can. I see the lupus specialist on Friday about the kidney biopsy.

Debbie - that is some good news - will keep fingers and toes crossed for you
Koober - didn't remember that you had a sore throat - BAH! I hate those - hope it will go away quickly - sometimes a salt water gargle will really help - the osmosis draws germs out of the throat tissues
Esty - sorry you are having to go w/o your pain meds:( I do remember you saying you had done riding when you were younger. I wish I knew more about equines - I still would like to get mules after we move to the farm, but don't know if we'll be able to handle the costs.
Hi Michelle - hope you are feeling ok
hello to everyone else, have a great evening!
love,
Linda

I am at home now, so glad of that, work was so stessful, and my head is bothering me too.
It was sunny today, but tomarrow rain is in the forcast, making things harder for electric workers..
HelenEdith, I don't like shorter days either, try keep your rooms as lite up as possible, and get in the natural sunshine as much as you can, sorry you had a migraine, I also had one Fri night...feel better.
Kim, I did not know your husband had shingels, they are painful..the worst I hear, I think Debbie had a bad case of shingels at one time, I rememer her mentioning that...Was he working hard painting, maybe its sore from that.
Hi, Esty I hope you can hold out until you get your medicine, its nice that you caught back up with your friend.
Debbie, That is such good news that your new medicine seems promising, I hope your headache does not turn to a bad one!!!!!!!
Linda, Oh I am jealous I want to be getting my yard ready for fall, my pumpkins are waiting, but its such a mess in the back field, water and muddy, and I am affraid to walk the path to see how many trees are down. I would of went out today, while it was sunny, but I had to work, now tomarrow its suppose to be very rainy and windy again.
Hi Michelle, How are you, you did not say...?
Well I guess this is the forum to post on again, I wonder if all the others are aware I notice alot have not posted as yet..
My head hurts, I ate lots of junk food too feeling so upset, now I regret it, I feel really just plain ICKY!
My husband is not in the best of mood, with the storm, also his job ends as of Nov 1st, he is worried and just kind of blue...
My daughter is doing well, she happens to live 50 miles in the right direction, she did not get the storm at all...I am happy of that!

Hi everyone! I'm doing fairly well. (knock on wood here :) )
Glad you are feeling a little better Debbie.
I've got a bad mig on Friday after subbing in the class for severally emotionally disturbed children. I guess this is not a great suprise.
I took it easy this weekend.
Had a little dinner party for my DH's birthday.
Have to study for basically a midterm on Thursday.
Tests and quizes every week.
Got a question.
DH wants me to go w/ him on a business trip Fri. It involves a short flight.
What are the rules re: packing these days?
Anyone travel very recently?
What can I take onboard in terms of make-up?
Wishing everyone a lovely evening. :)

I'm doing okay. Emotions are still going up and down. I see the rheumatologist again on Wednesday. I'll have to take Leah with me because Faye is taking the PSAT in the morning. I've still got a lot of pain, but I think I'm seeing a pattern. I've just got to figure out how much is "too much" for me to attempt in one day....
On the other hand, I started adding back in to my no-headache diet. Yesterday I added in onions!:) I'm supposed to make sure I eat some every day this week, and see if my head pain level goes up. I really hope onions pass the test....
Michelle
PS- Persevering, I think the best place to go for airflight packing regs is the TSA site.

My husband just flew last week so I looked up the TSA travel rules for him - 3 oz containers of liquid/gel can go on-board (so make-up is OK), but it's supposed to all be in one ziplock bag. Larger quantities are OK for liquid prescriptions, baby formula & things like that. I have the TSA website bookmarked: http://www.tsa.gov/press/happenings/9-25_updated_passenger_guidance.shtm if you want to read the entire update.
I had to go to the dentist's office today for my allergy test next week. Rather than the allergist having to special order dental anethesia for my allergy test, the dentist just gave me vials of what they want me tested for. Surprisingly, they didn't charge me for it, since they requested the allergy test. And my insurance covers 100% of the cost of the allergy test since the dentist requested it. I have go a few days without an antinausea med before the allergy test though - I've been taking visteril every day for several years & it hasn't kept me from having any allergic reactions yet, but they want to see the full exent of the reaction without having any antihistamine in my system.
