I use this in a nebulizer machine for my asthma. I'm wondering if it has a
side effect of making your feet/ankles swell up. Mine swell up so much,
that my ankles "disappear".

For the longest time, my parents claimed that the reason was that I
spent too much time on the computer.

But, when I was in the hospital for breathing problems, I spent a week
on oxygen and the inhalers, in addition to my AEDs (Keppra, Dilantin).
My ankles and feet swelled up so much that at one point, I could hardly
stand up. But, I wasn't near a computer!

I don't know for sure that it's not a side effect of Keppra or Dilantin, but
I want to check every possibility.

Thanks for listening.:)

My son took albuterol in a nebulizer for a while during a bad episode of chest congestion, and the only side effect we noticed was the iritability he exhibited. I don't know about the swelling issue, I am sure that it's possible it could be a side effect Braindrain, maybe someone else will see this and post their own experience, my son isn't able to tell us what he's feeling about the way a drug affects him so we can only guess from his behavior. :p

It took me forever to find a complete list of side effects of albuterol
sulfate, but apparently, these are a few of them:

fast, pounding, or irregular heartbeat (when I first started, not so much now)
chest pain
rash
hives ? (I've had 1 or 2, but I also have allergies to other things)
itching
swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs
increased difficulty breathing
difficulty swallowing
hoarseness

Of course, I wouldn't need to use this if there weren't so many triggers
around me.
