Hi guys,

I am now Tshadow, because I just couldn't get the machine to recognize me or give me registration.

It is nice to see so many names back.

Help me if you can - I want to repost all of my helpful information on depositions, AMEs, etc., and I was so stupid not to save ANY of it. By any chance, did any of you save my info.? I would be utterly grateful if you did, and if you could email it to me, so I can repaste it here.

I hate having lost all of that info., because I did it in the first year I was taken off of work, and I just know that I wouldn't be able to remember everything I wrote.

thank you tshadow for coming back!!!!!! your posts have been a significant source of info for me as i am going throught this **** called Workman's Compensation :mad: i look forward to reading anything that is posted by you, most of all, how to not let the *******s screw me in this!! lol the very fact that you are(were) a lawyer for these evil people and have even thought to give info to us poor workers is a miracle!!!! :eek: as far as any of your old posts, i will look through the hundreds of bookmarks and folders i have made just so i could refrence back on the wealth of info i have found. i will get any of it back to you post-haste as i feel it would only be right. thanx again for returning to the forum:D

Sorry but I didnt save anything you sent .I had looked stuff up but would just re read the post if I wanted to go to a site you sent. I am glad you are back but I wasnt aware you used to work for workers comp as an attorney.So do they ever treat people nice or do most people get done real dirty no matter how honest they are.I have several questions that you may know the answers to. Why would workers comp cancel my appt with their IME.I had an appt but got a letter it was cancelled. I didnt want to drive so far anyhow in all the crazy traffic. Its just too stressful and my atty said they dont have to provide transportation,just reimbursement for mileage.Also,workers comp let me do a referral to a dr. that was easier for me to drive to that was supposed to be really good and knew about rsd. But when I got there I didnt get to see the dr I was supposed to see.Of course,Id never seen him before so when this dr walked in I didnt know it wasnt the one workers comp authorized. Well,it turned out this dr was the meanest,the rudest dr there was,refused to treat me.Examined my wrist and hand and yelled and screamed how he never seen a hand atrophy so much in only 2 yrs from rsd.Told me I can go back to my dr. in mo. I tried to explain that this dr in mo. did a referral and wc approved it so I wouldnt have to drive in all that traffic over there but he just kept yelling my reccommendation is to see the dr you was seeing before. I have nothing else to offer. I talked to the administrator but I got nowhere and she just tried to smooth things over for the rude dr. She said also I would have to go back to mo.My lawyer wouldnt even help with the referral.i had to do it on my own. he said he never even heard of the dr i seen.nor had he heard of the dr workers comp was sending me to,their IME.He said i might as well go ahead and settle,im never going to get better. I havent seen a dr for months,im out of medication,i need a closer dr that i can actually drive to or have a friend drive me to. No one wants to drive me to the one in Mo.I am just so miserable.Im unable to work with a crippled up arm thats getting worse. My lawyer says I gotta find a job doing something i can do. i am in horrible pain,my memory is getting worse all the time and i am totally exhausted.its just too late to find another lawyer. i am not allowed to talk to workers comp.i thought about reporting this dr to the ama and filing a complaint but someone said it wouldnt be a good idea. this dr sent a report to workers comp full of lies and mistakes. i cannot believe he did this. i did call the administrator about all the mistakes and i told my atty but no one cares. i dont lie,i dont make things up yet im looking like some kind of crazy woman. the dr didnt say one thing in the report about the difference in my hands.he just said they both looked the same. what the heck is going on.i am still thinking about reporting him.i dont like liars and people who try to make me look bad. so what is your opinion on this. angel 1954, hi this is flippnout I sent you a private message you sent it back to me, it seems like you are in a situation I was in not to long ago, I live on the crazy traffic side, I was told by IC docs nothing wrong also, all in my head made to feel like I was nuts, had a lawyer who was a jerk thought RSD was a junk diagnosis and did not even know of TOS wich I have also, or my Nuero who has been great for me. The IC stopped my payments and medical care also left me saying I had only a shoulder injury nothing else, all the while I was in pain, no meds no anything. My lawyer at the time seemed to work against me not for me, I can still remember his face as he said they want to settle for shoulder and gave me price I said nope I'am not better I will not accept anything. Angel1954 you have to be proactive in your case, we are lucky there is a great teaching hospital near us with great docs, at the pain managment unit sure it is in MO. but your treatment is worth it, also if this lawyer is not working for you somtimes you just have to say enough is enough and find a new one who just does WC and believes in you, some lawyers are out to make a quick buck on you, some are willing to fight for you.
Angel1954 like I said befor with RSD (CRPS) it is good to have test to prove it and at the pain managment center they can test for it, have you had any blocks done? all this helps your case, the docs the IC sends you too are not on your side sure you can find a few to help but know they work for them not you, after all the IC pays them. That is why you need your own doc not paid for by IC. I hope this helps some Angel1954.

I am sorry I sent back post.I tried to post back but couldnt get it to go through and I dont do the yahoo thing. I dont have nobody to drive me to the dr in st. louis and im not driving in the crazy traffic. how you people drive in that is beyond me. I get nervous thinking about it.I can only have referrals now.Ive done went through my 2 drs of my choice. The lawyer i think has already started this so called settlement hearing. but i may back out as i dont quite understand what it is. and i definitely wont settle for nothing. i have done forgot.do you still have that same lawyer or did you find a different one. i am sure mine is not out to help me. workers comp has been fairly nice to me but they just cancelled the appt with the IME they were sending me to.Its also in Mo.Dont know why they cancelled it. Called lawyer ,he didnt return call. I called the rude drs. office.They said its up to him if he wants to change mistakes in medical report he wrote about me. I told them I wanted the lies changed also. Im really really disgusted .I think I forgot to mention,one big problem I have is wrist was set wrong.I needed surgery,instead the dr set it by reduction. I didnt go back to the dr.this was done at er. I wanted to file malpractice but atty said i couldnt. thats one reason im left this way but seen nothing in any medical records about this.this was just workd of mouth by 2 different drs i seen with wrist. thats why i have lost about 40 per cent usage of wrist and arm. flippnout,you sound like a nice person. i know you arent a nut case and neither am i but i might be if i continue to hurt.hee hee.i wasnt trying to ignore you but dont know nothing about that private message thing. actually i didnt know it existed ,i happened to come across it by accident. thanks for reply.angel

angel1954, you are not crazy I feel for you I do not drive either I have PT come to my house, and I have people totake me to my appointments also. I hope this will help you out, this is just my thoughts not legal advise ok, but things I have learned. OK IC sends you to A ame, IME they give a opinion of RSD to you, I felt that would be enough also after all IC paid for it right, it is not how IC thinks, after they get that opinion (key word) they go and set up another IME,AME because they do not like that opinion so the next doc you see says nothing wrong all in your head you can go back to work. IC likes that and they in turn say no more treatment or pay, you say but I have your doc saying RSD they do not care because it is a medical opinion, no proof just a doc saying it may be RSD. This is why you may need to pay for your own DOC, your lawyer should tell you yes we can work something out with this speacialist with payment Angel1954 you must have documentation of test run to support opinions to build your case, then you must have a hearing to renstate treatment and payments, you may also fight for rides to treatment, but the key is to build your case have facts, of proof of RSD, they're doc saying RSD is just a opinion after all he is not treating you just seeing you, he is paid by IC, not you some docs are good some just are out to make a buck sorry. Another thing to think of lets say IC is willing to pay for you to go to Saint Louis for treatments and you say no, than IC can claim you are refusing treatments see how they work they do not care it is a sick mind game they want you to quit to take the first offer, and your lawyer who is treating you like this is just out to make a buck on you, yes I have a new lawyer a great one that is on my side it was like a breath of fresh air with this firm, they are the ones who told me we need proof, just because theyre paid docs said RSD does not mean anything we must have proof to support it after all it is just a opinion, you must have a good doc to support you through this stress is not good for us, like this weather,facts are all IC wants to see I'm concerned your lawyer is hanging you out to dry, some lawyers are not aware of RSD and the fight you are involved with, I wish you luck but get someone to drive you like I do unless there is a good doc out in ILL. who can help you, that knows the test to run just start getting help, have you tried to get state aid you have no income right well you can use state IC to start treatments and then fight for it to get paid back in hearing, this way you can build your case i wish you well and pain free, I'am just giving you my thoughts not legal advise ok Angel1954.

Any how I'm glad you are back to help the folks out. I checked in at ssd and didn't see Liam anywhere and there are so many folks with serious questions that need answering. I offered what little I could but I'm so out of touch with everything that I wish Liam would go back on and help them.

One lady especially has me worried with her case. If you know anything about ssd see if you can help her. Her id is gracie.

glad you're back tshadow...and as far as saving any of your posts from the old site...i guess i didn't save any and have to say i'm so very sorry that i didn't...such a loss of information for us that are going through this **** is a devistating blow.....:( hope you are feeling a bit better so as to be able to answer us poor workers questions again:confused: and angel1954, as far as driving in Missouri....even if you live here, it still SUCKS!!!!! :eek: i have to drive to St. Louis for my appts. and surgeries but at least i get rembursed for it. ($ .405 per mile) it all helps.

I dont know in Illinois if you get reimbursed for all the trips to drs,etc or not. I did see on one website for an Illinois attorney that he got his clients all this money for reimbursement for drs. I think I asked my lawyer about that and he said they dont have to reimburse you only pay you to go to their dr. Id love to be reimbursed for all the money Ive spent for going to drs.and therapy.It would sure help.Angel 1954
