Hey guys,

I had a leak fixed, but am skeptical still. I still have ICH after 10 days. If the surgery worked, should it be an instant fix? I wonder if I could be leaking from the new Myelogram poke. My symptoms are different since the surgery. Before the symptoms seemed to accumulate while upright over time. Now they are pretty static all the time. Certain position laying down cause pressure as well. The surgery totally sucks and is painful to get over. Your back hurts a lot. Any tips for speeding the recovery on the Laminectomy? I've used these CryoCuffs when I hurt my knee. It cycles chilled water through a cuff, and drains at an interval so not to hurt you. I wonder if I could find something similar for my back to beat the swelling and inflamation going on inside your back.

Eman,

Hang in there.

I know someone who had the surgery in October and still doesn't feel "normal" but is living a normal life quite happily - her 3 month MRI showed no meningeal enhancement. I would thank ten days is still too early to tell.

Rest up, take it slow, avoid straining. No ideas on the inflammation tips, other than let your body do it's work and heal.

Take care.

hey eman, wonderful to have a status on you!

The only symptom I can relate to is the odd pressure (ICH) lying down post surgery. Your neurosurgeon performed my second spinal surgery, and afterwards I had ICH lying flat, it was the oddest sensation and quite uncomfortable. I was sat up in spells, which stopped it after just a few days, and the ICH returned to its usual orthostatic pattern.

Your body sounds miserable, I am so sorry.
Take care, h.h.

h.h,

nurse said I might have some reverse symptoms, but... I was having those before surgery. I think it's certain spinal positions while laying down that open up my leaks, like crooking my head on a pillow.

I had some strange sinus drainage in Cali as well. Never had that before. I blew my nose, a bit of blood and a deluge of light yellow fluid. Sound like it could be CSF? Happened twice. Could have just been some sort of sinus issue I didn't know about. It makes me wonder if I have a cranial leak.
