Is anyone here taking this drug? My dr. gave me 2 weeks' samples, first week at 30mg and then 2nd week at 60 mg. Took the 1st one around 2PM the day I got it, and by 9PM I was nauseated. Miserable feeling - hot/cold/like I had to run to the bathroom. (This was particularly bad because I was with friends for dinner and a play. Had to leave at intermission.) Came home and researched it on internet and said that nausea would probably go away after 2 weeks. Also it said not to take if you have uncontroled glaucoma; mine is controled with eye drops, but still feel it a treat for increase of eye pressure. Does it help? Did it causes constipation? (I don't need that; any pain med I take causes it!) I would like to hear if you think it's worth sticking with it. Thanks!
P.S.... I have peripheral neuropothy and take neurontin, and seem depressed about life changes at age 74. The dr. said Cymbalta would help both conditions.)

I don't have an answer for you about the Cymbalta. You may want to go to the Peripheral Neuropathy forum - there are good people there and they may be able to help.

Ahh, good old Cymbalta bud! I was on that for three months and had to stop because I was also on Neurontin and the Cymbalta would keep working even when I was sleeping from the Neurontin and I would wake up from an afternoon nap all sweated wet and cold! My hands, my feet, cold, but sweating was still present so.......... I stopped taking it and I was on 60 or 80mgs per day? I can't remember if it was 60 or 80? The Neurontin I was on 2400mgs per day and that did nothing for me!
I am now taking this new med called Provigil and it works great! I little nausea at first for like two days and then nothing but pure energy and drive! Love it, but my insurance wont cover it? Go figure, right, I find something that works and the insurance wont pay! Hah! So I am getting switched to Methylphenidate SR! Same thing, stimulant so I hope that works out for me!
Nausea from Cymbalta, NO, not for me! No constipation either, just sweating all the time! I tryed almost all of the SSRI, and SSRNI drugs and they didnt do anything for me so I am now on a Stimulant and feel great, no pain, no depression, alot of energy, more drive, feel better all around!
Hope I helped
Thanks
