I have always had high bp and heart disease and now I have lost 40 lbs and now my bp stays around 100/50 or 60. I went in to the pcp to have it checked and it was 120/70 but I don't think the nurse did it right. I was standing up and she put the wrap on with my arm down below my heart so it was hard to complain to the doc. I know it's one of my high bp pills but I need some proof. I was thinking about taking it for a week x2 day and showing it to doc. Anyhow, it's nice to be back. Tgent:cool:

It doesn't cost much to buy a machine that keeps your readings in memory. I have one because my bp bottoms out 81/53, 81/57, etc. when I stand up, get up from sitting position, move head too fast, etc. It can really make a person feel very tired. Congratulations on the weight loss!

Hello, I suffer from high blood pressure. I was pre-eclamtic during the birth of my 3rd child. I have those auto BP, although I've been told they are not as accurate as the manual mercury, it's still convenient and a good gage.

Right now my dr is trying to regulate my bp, it's pretty high by end of day (150/ 100) and being that I had a ruptured aneurism early this year, I really have to watch out. But sometimes trying different meds is frustrating due to the side effects. I had meds that kept me dizzy 24/7. Then my new meds now make me so groggy and sleepy half the day.

Gaffey,

I was pre-eclamptic during my first pregnancy, but it went away shortly after my c-section. I'm sorry you're having so much trouble. Do you think you will adjust to the meds and won't be so sleepy during the day? I sure hope so. Take care of yourself,
Kathy:)

thanks everyone. I have a bp wrist w/memory and forgot about it and have been using Wmart, across the road. I have a log working now and it's running around 120/70 or so and I feel better now. Also 2 friends told me that my face was pale during the low bp and now I have good color again. I am learning a lot now. Thanks again, tgent:cool:
