I am newly diagnosed with FMS, following recovery from cervical surgery. Only just in the past few months have I had problems with blood pressure - my blood pressure for no reason shoots up to 150/90, and then down to as low as 105/70. The average seems to be 122/70. (and I only take my bp after sitting quietly for a few minutes). My doctor had me monitor it at home and to keep a log. She just started me on a very low dose of Lisinopril - only 2.5 mg per day. When I first took it, my blood pressure dropped to 100/35, and I felt like I was going to faint. After about two hours it came back up to 115/70,and continued a roller coaster ride throughout the day.
What is going on? I am in alot of chronic pain, do not sleep well - but am on no meds that would explain this bp problem. (the doctor actually has me on very few meds at this time because they are still trying to rule things out). At my insistence, because of my family medical history, they did check my thyroid TSH and T3 and T4 levels - all came back normal - but on the low end of the normal scale.
Help - I am desperate for some answers. I feel like I am in someone else's body since the FMS symptoms began. I was always so healthy and "normal" - what is happening to me?
