Hi all, Breeze is a long time friend of BT, he's a survivor of a rare neuro disorder,Franky is his special companion,a Boston Terrier he has had since a small puppy.

Franky has a mast cell tumor & will be having surgery Thursday,April 19th. Please, everyone send prayers for both of them.......Franky is a true service dog & Breeze is a true survivor (5+years now).

Let's give them all the support we can!

Thanks Buttons for letting us know this...I had no idea this was going on in his life...gosh...I do pray all goes well with Franky and that Breeze will have the peace he needs right now.
I will light a candle that helps me remember to pray for them whenever I see the candle flicker.
The Lord made these animals and gave us Charge over them. He knows even when I tiny bird falls...how much more He must love our animals as well because He knows they mean so much to us.
Breeze...is there any way your freinds here on BT can help in any way?
Please let us know....we'll all be waiting to hear the outcome this Thursday.
Blessings, cheryl

Those of us who have been in my current position with a companion such as Franky can understand as I both appreciate as well as thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers as we get ready for Franky to have his surgical process performed by a very compident veterinary doctor. God brought us together with a meaningful cause. I will update you all Thursday afternoon. "There is no such thing as to much prayer." G-d Bless...

Here's a link for those who're interested in info on this.
My Black Lab, Satin had a big tumor on her foot...its been bothering her for several years....so far all the biopsy's have come back normal, so was NOT a MCT! Thank God! But it worried us for us long.

Little Thistle...my very old Scottie girl....she did have this....she lived with it for mny years after having a diagnoses.
But her's was just a very slow growing, low grade cell....she lived to be nearly 15 years....
lived a long happy life clear up to her last day!
But oh how she's missed now!
Blessings, Cheryl
Whatabreeze....please keep us posted....we're wanting this to be very good newes when the doctors have finished with his treatments. G'bless u and Franky!

road too many times to count w/creatures, I am thinking good things about Franky, that it was 'caught' early, and all that goes with it.
Being a BC 'person' [I really hate the 'survivor word' it's inappropriate for all going with it?] I do wholly appreciate the 'early' parts of all this.
Vets are better docs to our creatures than some of our own. And we ALL KNOW WHAT unstinting gifts we are given by them.
Getting is only a small portion of our giving. Nuff said. Hugs to Franky, Breeze and to all! - j

PS I do have a hole in my life where a critter used to be, but right now, that is best for me. I DO have visiting privlidges for many others tho and well, that helps at some moments, the others when a person just 'needs'? Well, I just slog on thru.

A quick posting to thank everyone who together sent the message that needed to be heard. Franky came through his surgery well. The "Mast Cell Tumor" was excised and is being sent to Pathology. It definitely appears we are about to get over the first hurdle. I will be going to get Franky shortly. It's great to have friends like you we can count on. G-d Bless...

i said my prayers again for franky as promised while the girl started trying to pry lose the temporary crown. was happy to see that so far things are going okay and will keep checking to see all clear good news. franky will be in good hands tonight at home with you. our pastor and wife's dog calley had a similar thing happen just lately when a tumor burst. she had staples about 5 inches long and they said she acted like her old self that night. if you knew how chubby that cocker spaniel was you would know that was a scarey thought as i pictured her bounding around with those staples. a nice quite night with franky peaceful at your side or on your lap makes me smile as i picture the two of you tonight after a stressful day.

Hi Breeze...I've had little Franky AND you in my prayers and thoughts....just so anxious to hear what the news was.
Glad things have gone good so far.
Please keep us posted.
Lets all pray they got the entire tumour with good margins and this will be the end of this one! Please, Lord!
What's on the agenda, next for treatment for Franky?
Give him gentle hugs from a dog lover who lives on the end of the Oregon Trail! Blessings, Cheryl and Satin II (black lab who was a Pet Therapist at Adventist Hospital 6+ years...till a nasty doc thought she'd carry germs to others!! Oh well! He won....EVERYONE else lost! So sad to know this doc controls this hospital only because he brings in much revinue!...big time!
Blessings, cheryl

Benign. Franky is OK and I'm exhausted. Per my new posting in the Emotional Forum, there is no doubt when events as this take place in our lives, we who live with chronic illness are not being tested by God. We are being strengthed to live on with the direction God had planned when our lives were restored to us. Those in this world who live susceptible to Central Pontine Myelinolysis, both Franky and I move forward to raise CPM Awareness to the world.

"There is no such thing as to much prayer." G-d Bless You All...

Breeze, I can't even begin to imagine just how exhausted you must be! Thanks for taking the time to share the good news. Cuddle up with Franky & get all the rest you need now.....you will need your strength for the road ahead,so many more to educate,so many more to give that push of faith in their own recovery......what seems impossible can be turned into positive!

HUGS,Buttons
