Dear Nurses,
I just wanted to share a wonderful gift that I received.
I worked at our local hospital before I became sick. I had to quit in 2004. I felt like I lost everything that really made me feel good about myself.

I got news yesterday that the Nurses made me a Easter Basket! I will get it today:D . It isn't the present that makes me feel such joy, it is the thought that they haven't forgotten about me!!!:D

Just thought I would share!

You are so lucky. I guess that you've surpassed the tests of infinity and thats very remarkable. I remember how insanely busy we were. Just to sign a -'get well card' or anything was just- more work.
I'm jealous but thanks for sharing and keep gloating.

Bonnie,
I remember the bussiness also but I worked in a smal hospital with a 3 bed ICU. I am sure you have not been forgotten. I think people get so caught up in their own lives That they remember but don't take the time to let you know!

Now for the help? How do I let them know how thank ful I am? I have thought about doughnuts. I am on disability so I don't have a lot of money but I want to let them know how special it was to me! I know that food was always a hit but is it enough? Any other ideas?

Thanks, Laurie;)

We always liked hand lotion, gum and chocolate. Some one gave us a basket of strawberries once and that was good too. However, donuts never went unloved. Or a card with a beautiful picture that took us away for a minute. Really though, it was all good.
Thank the one above for disability. Where would we be with out it?

Bonnie,
What wonderful suggestions! I ddid get them all magnets and angel sachet car freshners. Because I was afraid the doughnuts would get eaten by some and missed out by others. But I still want to go in personally and bring in food of somesort, the strawberries sound great and a bottle of lotion to be in the break room!

Thanks again I hope that we can continue to converse. This site has been pretty slow and I really miss talking to another Nurse. Are you still working? What area of Nursing were you in?

Hope to talk to you soon:)
