Post op help

Hi

I just got back from Arizona where i had a chari decompression. Apparently the chiari did not look that bad from an MRI a year ago but it was much worse now and I was on the verge of starting to loose function. Has anyone here had the chiari surgery and can give me some suggestions. I feel a lot better in terms of headaches and neck paain, but the post-op pain is pretty bad. Any helpful hints would be so appreciated.

Sorry you are hurting. I remember the pain after my decompression surgery, it was awful. Best advice I can give is just to take it easy. Don't try to do too much too soon. Hope you recover well and quickly. Take care of yourself!

Hey Jess- Def. take it skow and stay on top of your pain meds- they work a lot better at preventing pain than knocking it back once it's there

R U on muscle relaxers? I found that helped a lot after surgery.
