Okay well I know there has been some cooler weather in some places and even some snow, but still spring is here.
I just thought it might be uplifting to reflect on all of the good things that happened in our lives over the last year and to make a positive step towards this year.
I'll start off with my thoughts. I know I will have pain, but I will do my very best to keep a positive attitude. I want to enjoy my family and make progress in my new yard with planting flowers and plants. I want to continue being a part of this wonderful community of BT where I have so many friends that understand me and my pain. For the first time in my life I will keep a journal to reflect on my day, even if it's been a bad one. I think at the end of the year I will find more blessings than I have realized over the past several years.
Now its your turn to share, if you would like, what you hope to accomplish this year.:)

Great idea for a thread Lisa! I agree with you about enjoying my family and udnerstanding found here on BT's CP forum. You all are great and I am proud to be posting with you all. I know there will be good days and bad days, but I look forward to any days, just the same because each day you wake up breathing right it's started off to be a good day IMO.
I hope to get in shape this year and to get moved into a bigger place so we can set up a work out room for us to use our Total Gym in and leave it up. We'd used it a lot last summer but it's just too heavy to put up and take down all the time so it's staying put away until we move. I also am thankful that we GOT the Total Gym last year as you can imagine they are not cheap and I am thrilled we managed to get one.
I also hope to get a newer car before too much longer, I need one because mine is running on its last legs so to speak. I am glad that we'll soon be able to afford a new car once we get moved. So things are looking up for us and I am excited about the way things are moving forward for us and hoping that it continues to be a great year. :)

Pam sounds like things are looking up for you and that's great!!
You make a great addition to BT and I love talking to you, so kind and understanding.
I just started this thread in hopes of positive thinking. I know that I get down in the dumps with all of my health problems and I think sometimes it's productive to look at the positive side of things.

It is a great idea Lisa!
Well, first I would like to get some hanging baskets up once the weather gets warmer again; probably in early May. I am very much looking forward to getting the new floor installed. I'd also like to go and visit my brother in Tennessee. And, last but not least, work on some more of my genealogy items. Other than that just get this medical stuff figured out and do a lot of swimming if I can. :) My best friend has a pool but the girl needs to crank up the temp on it before I will go in LOL! Swimming in COLD water will do me in!
Blessings last year? Here's just a few. Daughter graduated from college and now has a good job. And, well, I just have to say support from family and friends and just getting together and having some fun when we can. :) Ooops and one great nephew was born and another on the way!

Aw thanks Lisa, ((((hugs)))) I really appreciate you saying that, I feel the same about you, you are a definite asset to this board and I am so happy that you're with us. I am glad you started this thread, I am really pleased with myself for getting the HTML How-To Guide written, I have been putting it off for almost 8 years!
I have always wanted to make one because I know how easy it is to make webpages and I know others are intimadated by the coding part of it so I wanted to break it all down so it was easy to understand and hopefully inspire people to WANT to make their own website. :D
I am in such a great mood today, I am really glad to have my friends here to share it with. :D

Lisa,
The past year has seen me working through the SSDI program and finally getting an approval verdict. I helped my daughter get started in her first year of college and have been able to talk with her as she has worked her way through with a 4.0 so far. I got to see my son paly football this past season and will enjoy seeing him throw during the track meets.
I am looking forward to getting our yard in better shape. We made some good improvements last year and want to continue to make more this year. I want to finish the painting of the trim that we started last summer. I will look forward??? to my son starting to drive this fall. I may write more later.

When the snowflakes stop as it is now snowing:eek: . It will be nice when warm weather is in the air again. I look forward to walking my dog on a daily basis as he likes to walk so much. I was happy to make my daughter a coffee table for Christmas and I hope to make her a couple of pieces of furniture for her that she wants. I look forward to work on football drills with my son as he wants to do extra things to get better and knows I can show him a few good things.
No wonder I hate these days when I have very little energy, I have so much to do:D .

Mark,
Next week is supposed to be a little better. I saw the snow too! Yuck! But just wait until August rolls around and we will be inside with the Airco. At least I will because the heat and humidity tear me up worse than the freezing cold!
Oops, I forgot something too..something to look forward to. The Indy 500 LOL! I can't go anymore but I LOVE it around here during the month of May; so many cookouts, parties etc. It is so much fun! And maybe, just maybe I can go out to the track one day with hubby and just walk around. There is no way though that I could handle the crowds on race day. And I miss it...a lot! From age 10 on up I never missed a year until I started getting those headaches. And of course the Brickyard 400 is a definite NO because that is in August...no way...I would pass out from the heat.

Kathi, yes I like Indy during the race months. I still love to listen to the race over the radio it just seems to be better than TV. I haven't ever been to a race but have been to practice. I will be glad for August as I love the heat. I sit outside as much as I can just soaking up the warmth. Maybe it has something to do with the start of high school football that I like it so much.

The Indy 500 - Ahhhh.. 30 days in May when every radio station has "track side reports" every 15 minutes to tell you that NOTHING HAS HAPPENED since the last report..

LOL!
Party pooper! But it IS true. Just turn off the radio Steve. :) Now c'mon, it is FUN! But I guess you have to have either grown up with it or love racing.
Mark,
I like listening to the radio on Race Day too; then watch it that night. But NOTHING beats seeing it live. :) I just wish all those changes had not taken place. Maybe someday it will go back to the way it was...but I doubt it.
UGH, I used to like the August heat...not anymore though. Must either be a hormonal thing or a PN thing because I just cannot take it. Oops...maybe just an age thing. And I agree about the football season but I have to wait until it cools down a little.
