This morning the sun is shining and the slight wind shift that has blown the smoke from the fires toward our area, has lessened and the skies are clearer.

At church this morning, we had a guest group called the Blackwood Legacy that has a Christian gospel music ministry. They were wonderful, really inspirational AND funny.

The rest of the day and tomorrow to work on all my neglected half finished projects.

I see a post from Christina to look forward to! Cheerio.

Dear Friends
I love this site, with all of the sadness in the world and in our own lives, we can still find happiness in day to day life. I am so thanful that so many people have joined in my absence, which I hope won't happen again o9r at least I hope I can get a break from being sick!

NOW ON TO HAPPY THINGS!!!!

1) I had 2 breast lumps removed last Tuesday, they were both benign, Thank Heavens!

2) I had a groshing catheter placed near my shoulder it is a little tender but this means, no more digging to try to find a vein to get blood out of, what a handy thing to have!

3) My computer is in need of help but I am thankful that it works good enough so that I can come to this site.

4) My best Friend lives so far away but we stay in close contact, she made me a wedding CD, I told her a few songs that I wanted and she picked the rest!, she did such a great job. It gives me hope that I will get married eventually.

5) Last but not least the friends that I have here are the best friends that I could ever want or ask for, Than k you all so much!!

Dream Big and Reach for the Stars, Love and hugs, Javi

Things to be happy for today:
Seeing JAVISI posting again and giving us all a good dose of optimism!

My annual trip to the doctor to get new prescriptions, review some things and clarify others, is over for this year. No bad news of any kind.

Our new "grand dog" is overcoming her shyness and wagging her tail when she sees us. Her name is "Maggie."

The weather is breezy and just a little nippy so you need a sweat shirt, but the air is clear, the sky blue and the fires in the area are out.

I don't live in the mountains where the fire danger is so bad. Cheerio.

I'm back and we had a good trip. We went to his cousin's wife's house the night before and the night of our 41st annivesary. That was okay as we had our granddaughter with us and her grandson was with her. They go to same school and always enjoy playing together. I so want my gd to have kids to play with like my hubby did playing with his cousin. He was just a little over a year older than my hubby and has been dead for less than a year. :(

We rode the Mule and the 4-wheeler and saw large buzzards everywhere!!! And I saw the prettiest red bird. I am sure it wasn't an ordinary red bird. It looked like a cherry colored all over red finch type bird. Sure was pretty whatever kind it was.

I collected some moss to plant in my yard and all in all, it was a good trip and it did me good to get away.

So glad to see Javi back and to know that Christina has surgery over with. YEAYYYH!!!

Happy Joy had a good time!

Happy I went to sleep at 8:30p and slept thru till 8a this am. I slept better than I have in ages. So instead of waiting until a time I think is the Right time, I will go to sleep when tired, in my bed, not the chair.

If it was going to be nicer than 53 a perfect day to pull weeds and transplant irises and a few other things that have bloomed out.

Happy my peonies made it thru the many recent storms, and are ready yo bloom the next warm day, they are just loads with blooms!

Hope everyone has a great day, heater day here today BBBRRRRR.;)

Well I'm beginning to think this global warming is more like the ice age cometh!!

Trying to convince HM to have the oil tank filled now, will cost over $2,000 to fill but if he waits it could be even more!

OK: happy thought only!

My oldest son had a safe trip on his motorcycle to visit my folks on other side of the state.

I rearranged my trailer so I could keep a nice table & also decided to keep some abstract art I liked. First time I've been pleased with the layout. Considering Rags has a huge bed right by the door,I think I did good!

Happy to see so many bunnies here this year, makes it safer for my cat. I've also heard the wild turkey's lately, hoping I get to see them!

Happy to see a pair of Canadian geese @ the neighbor's pond!

Rosehips are beginning to bloom in the "green belt".

Happy Joy is back with us!

Happy both Laurie and Joy are back with us, you both were sorely missed.

Laurie, I am happy they got a central line in you, it must feel good to know you dont have to be poked continually to have blood drawn or iv's being placed.

I placed my shepards hooks so I can see them through my front bay window. I think I have a nest of birds on the top of the window. I just can't see them.

Looking forward to being able to play in the dirt when it isnt so wet. It has been raining for several days now and cold!

Wouldn't it be nice to get to get together and meet face to face! I would love to meet each of you in person! Imagine the fun we would have!

Have a great day All,

good to be back and boy was our dogie ever happpy to flopdown in his favorite spot inside!!! It is always good to get home safe and sound and have pets still okay, just lonesome.

I got my moss put outside with the help of granddaughter. Of course all we did was scratch the ground a bit and put moss on top and then water it. But for me, who does not do much of anything, that was a lot.

My pile of laundry is a whole lot smaller, lol. Now I need to work on folding it and storing it all in red carrier for return trip to lake at some future time.

Those squirrels and birds sure ate up all the seed while we were gone. It is gewttinbg quite a job to keep the feeders full. I know it is kinda a waste to feed them in summer but I do love watching them. And just thinking about how they will really be a lot around this winter puts a smile on my face.

Have a great day everyone. We will pick up grandson soon and get to play with him some before church time.

Another routine MD app't today and all is well. Got a few other questions answered about aging effects, etc.

No one was in the pool while I was there today so there was no "wake" from other people's strokes and I could thoroughly enjoy my swim.

DH has gone on a sunset hike so I don't have to cook dinner. He left me 2 tacos from Taco Bell as he left while I was at the pool.

One of my beans has germinated, so can others be far behind? Cheerio.

Happy I could walk in the store yesterday just fine.

Happy I got some "little jobs" done

Happy no family drama so far this week

Happy to have Joy & Christina back......and hopefully Javi will be having that wedding this summer! I was thinking yesterday: how can we have a cyber wedding shower for her?

Pay attention to the tornado warnings today Kathy! Grab your laptop if you need to take cover!

Pati, I have been watching the weather, doesn't look great! I think I will sleep in the basement tonite since alot of the really bad stuff is supposed to hit after I go to bed.

Happy things! I drove to the PM and found out my appt was tuesday not today. oops not happy, have to go back tomorrow.

11 days and counting for the little miss to show up! I sure hope Daughters water breaks first! Long story

Been sleeping incredibly well for a change!

I use the TV in the bedroom for an alarm, kitty waits to come in until then, and manages not to jump on me!

Happy Nebraska had no fatalities and that is after some major tornadoes. Some major damage out west on one of the Universities, Thank God school is out.

Happy I get to see my PM today, as I missed my appt on tues, I am a DITZ and blond to boot. I Love my Doc, he is caring and on top of his game so to speak.

Happy I have good friends on here who care and tell me to duck!

The Olymipic Swimming time trials start here in June, I really want to go watch. I swam in tounraments in Jh and High school, I used to watch Mark Spitz swim, it was wonderful he won the gold.

just posting very few replies these days... i will get updated next week with all the threads i've subscribed...

i think of you although i'm head and hands in boxes... happy i've been able to postpone big M day (moving) till Thues. 3rd so that i have more time for packing... and i still have the place here till Sun. the 8th to clean after myself and finish carrying the little things the movers can't take (gallons of paint), or the things i prefer to carry myself in my car, like mirrors, my sound system, my computer, etc...

Catherine, Thank you! All is well here, and the damage was minimal in comparison to what could have happened.

Lavan, I am so happy to hear you will be moving soon! Time to get everthing put away! UGG

My Daughter and SIL are also moving this coming week. They close on their house on the 4th, and are all packed and ready to go.

Laurie, I hope things are better for you, and we see you post soon!

Lavan, where are you moving to? Different apartment, same city, or farther away? I hope all goes well.

Things to be happy for today:
1.My crochet class is not offered in the summer but a group of us get together at someone's home every other Friday. It is always good to see everyone and how their various projects are coming along.
2. My Basket Weaving class has resumed. It has been unavailable for the past year as the instructor had surgery and treatments that sapped her energy. It is good to see her back, returning members and get started on a new type of basket.
3. DH is going away next week on one his jaunts, and I'll have the house to myself....look out cobwebs, here I come! Cheerio.

Lavandula Canadensis
05-30-2008, 10:27 PM
Hi room,

ms1128, i think i'll like it at the new place... although the appart is a bit smaller, its a studio on 2 stories *ack the kitchen with patio door overlooking the back yard, laundry room and bathroom on ground floor, and the bedroom is on the second floor, with a door and a large balcony... so i'll see how long i can stay there because of the stairs... i have a small shed, and a medium backyard to be shared with the 2 other tenants... no stairs outside... the landlors does the snow removal and cuts the grass... i'll just have to take care of the flower bed that's already there (and maybe add to it, depending on what grows in there)... and of my herbs in terra cotta pots... :)

most of the pics i post (for now anyways, until i get a digital camera) come from public domains, unless specified otherwise, like Windows Live Search Images... if you ask to do a search for moving, move, packing, boxes... in different languages... you'll get different results http://www.*********/?scope=images

Nana4, i hope your daughter's move goes well... :)

Tootsie, my new appart is a bit closer to downtown (public librairy, groceries, museums...) so it will be a little more noisy around...

good night!

hi you all!!

It is exciting to get to move but I don't envy anyone the job of packing and unpacking. Lavan I enjoyed looking at the pics. That area sounds just beautiful and I am so glad that you will be closer to things. Makes it a lot easier.

Well my backyard critters have been putting on a show every morning. They are using the trailer we hauled our toys to the lake on as a jungle gym!! I look out and see them doing their acrobatics on the wheel covers and running around the top rails. They are so funny to watch.

I have finally got over my staying cold all the time. It was such a shock to be sweating. It was extremely warm here the last few days and I do better when the temperatures are higher.

I now have some new clothes and I must say it is about time! I am amazed that I had enough energy to even attempt to go and buy some. So that is a good thing for me folks as I am usually found just sitting in the recliner and covered up. Hot weather is best for me it seems, lol.

It is good that my neighbor is out of school during the summer months too. She is what my ganddaughter called a lunch lady at school. She hates being home alone so the phone calls have started already, lol. But its all good and I know it ends once school starts back up.

I must say that I think that I'd love the area that Tootsie lives in. Sounds as if there is always something to do there. I think that Buttons' area would be just beautiful as well. I have always said I hate flat land, lol. For one thing, my uncle used to live in an area that every time it rained, the water would rise up. I can remember driving thru water up to the running boards on the old Ford truck, lol, and I didn't like it! Give me some hills and I am happy. Give me mountains and I'm ecstatic, lol.

Nana4&cntn
05-31-2008, 08:04 PM
Joy, I am happy your cold is finally gone, I am happy the summer heat gives you more energy. And the enrgy to shop for new clothes! I am a bit Green with envy!

Happy my yard is in full bloom, the peonies , all 60 feet of them are blooming, and will continue to look beautiful until another storm comes. They smell just wonderful! The irises, daisies and clematis ae a riot of color.

Talked with my Daughter today, the doctor swept her membranes, I thought she meant stripped them as in water broke:eek:. I had to look it up, and if it works I could be a nana again in a few days! The babie is about 7 1/2-8lbs already! I am on top of the world!:D

Bought myself an early BD gift,a beautiful crackled glass vase from the 70's,I have it in front of my little kitchen window in the trailer so I can see the colors. Also got a vintage footstool I will keep.

Happy I got to meet my son's buddy yesterday,we hit it off well & he played with Rags.

I'm so jealous of anyone having warm weather & sunshine! It's so cold here need to have furnace going!

I was blessed the day I found you all!:)
i also think the same... i needed this... i asked for a sunshine in my life... and all of you are bringing sun rays into my journey... even though it's been raining for many days... and will all week... except on Tuesday... big M (moving) day... can you call that LUCKY ?!? i was glad on Friday when the mover accepted to postpone 1 day so we all could stay dry on M day...

you have soooo much peonies... wonderful !!! i can smell them up north, till here, but you're so lucky to have so much them on your land... you give me the idea to plant one... since there is already a small flower bed in my new backyard... and when i get the energy, i could plant more flowers... :D

I'm happy to have sunshine, even though it is breezy enough to contribute to "wind chill."

Someone at church had all her old basil seed germinate so she shared pots and pots of it. Now, I don't have to go buy some. I don't know where I put the seeds I bought and so haven't planted any. Now, if only I could get basil to mature and tomatoes ripe at the same time!

DH is gone on an outing for a whole week so I won't be cooking much and will have a chance to get things DONE.

Grandson is graduating....we were concerned that he's done too much goofing off. He's even been over to check addresses for the announcements. cheerio.

i was just having a little coffee break... after a few hours of sleep on my zero gravity recliner padded with a memory foam... most of my articulations are in little better condition since i sleep on that, even with all the packing... (except for shoulders, arms and hands)... i'm glad about this...

happy this morning because i feel rather good, emotionally speaking... not too too anxious about the move, although my body is very acky... i'm so glad i haven't injured myself (especially in the low back and shoulders...)

knowing that i'll have my old appart. here until next sunday reassures me... i'll have the rest of the week to carry the little fragile things the movers don't take (lamps, mirrors, bookshelves glass doors...) and clean after myself... at my own rythm... aHHH !!! :p

trying to set my mind on the packing still to be done... *ack count down: 30 hours !!!

Hello x7... just in case... (7 times... for every day of the week... :D ) because i don't know exactly when my internet connection will be transferred, and it may be cut off for up to 5 working days, as they told me... :(

happy to have friends to say hello to... :D:o:);):p;):):o:D any time of the day... thinking of you all... hoping everyone is safe from fires, tornadoes, heat waves...

Bye for now !!! your prayers and positive thoughts are/will be much appreciated so that moving goes well... :p

Phyllis, my deepest thoughts and prayers today! Funernals are by far some of the thoughest Masses to attend. Aside from giving one too long to try to sit in silence they are just so blasted hard to see a loved one in a casket knowing her soul is long gone to God and other family members she is with now.

All My prayers and thoughts,

Isn't it just like life? lose one and somewhere else a new one arrives to spread smiles and love amongst us. Give that little one extra nuzzles for me Kathy.

I hope mommy is doing okay as well. Rest up when you can, lol. I can just STARE at babies for hours myself. Even when future hubby was just new in the picture he was amazed at how long I could just pass the time looking at a baby.

Hope everyone is holding up well. Surgeries, moving and such. Whew, for me it is working more than usual. I now have all my fingernails broke off way down deep into the quick. That's easy to do since they are numb so one good thing they don't hurt as bad when it happens but still they are sore after the nail is gone. But at least I have been doing a bit more than I usually do. So I'm glad for that.

take care everyone and it is so nice to have so many new ones joining in! Don't be a stranger, keep joining in, lol.

Had fun watching the little guys and girls at the elementary have their field day at school today.

Lots of wood from the tree that the bf murdered 2 summers ago that finally fell down during our last major snow storm. Time for some fires.

My new Wii that I got for Mother's Day, did I mention that. Did I mention that I am spoiled and I have 3 jealous brothers. Really makes you get up and work good thing I have a sit down game. Break a sweat there.

My joints are swollen, sore and red. It hurts to type but it also hurts not to. I don't see the rheumatologist for a couple months so I rely on pain pilss. I just wish they worked better!

Happier and better things!

1) I am happy to post and to see what is going on in everyone's lives

2) Got in my car and blared the radeo and sang my heart out, It seemed nice.

3) My roses are blooming, and we planted 2 more, well I will admit I helped and poured the miricle grow for roses on them.

4) All of my kids seem to be doing good. My youngest was urinating outside of a house and got caught, trouble always seems to find him, this was in the dark behind a tree!

5) Seeing this tread thrive!

Seems like anything can be made a mountain these days, lol.

We're going to be gone again for a day or so and I will leave everyone very busy it seems. I'm trying to get more feed out for birds and aquirrels, hungry, greedy critters are eating us out of house and home. I can't imagine how much it will take if they all stick around for the winter. Here I'm mostlt referring to the squirrels. Especially if the 6 or so here keep multiplying,. We have loads of acors in the fall so I hope they don't get to lazy and will help out some, lol.

Have a good week everyone and be kind to yourself and don't over do the work. Rest and be kind to your joints every now & then, they will appreciate it in the long run.

(((HHHHHUGS to those that need it)))) oops weell just went back and added the ((( & going to leave it. Laurie I so hope things get better. hubby went to yelling and as he'd said he brought lunch etc. I thought he'd finally had enough of me being on the computer - as in hurry up we have a loong way to go!

Well I yelled back what is it, and he sounded sorta strangre, my mind went to heart as I live in fear of this as his dad died young and all his family has heasrt trouble, including him!!

Anyway I ran down the hall and almost ran into him, he hurried to the window and said look, I saw a white squirrel!!

Well I didn't but I'm sure we have one out in the pines somewhere, lol. Now I will really be at the windows looking for that one. I hope he stays around until we get back home so I can catch a glimpse of it. Whew fingers really tingling now, lol.

1. I was able to sleep late and have my feet up most of the day.

2. It is sunny, warm but a nice breezy wind that keeps the smog away.

3. My guy won his election to the county board of supervisors.

4, The proposition in San Francisco won, that will give the 49'ers a chance to build their new stadium there, instead of farther south.

5. Various projects are just a little more completed. Cheerio.

hi room,

happy today because, yesterday, the big move, went without bad luck or accident or injury... although it was loooooong and lasted all day... :D:o:);):p;):):o

happy today because yesterday after the move, although i was in acute pain all over w horrid migraine and i thought i would get stuck with it for a few days as it is often the case when i over exercised neck and shoulders... i was able to fall asleep and after a few hours of good sleep, this morning, the migraine had diminished considerably... for the muscles and articulations pain, i can deal with them in a much better way...

happy because i might be able to keep the internet connection until sunday and it might be transferred on monday... so i wouldn't loose contact with you all for too too long... :p

during the next week, i should be able to get updated gradually with all the pages i missed to read... in most forums i follow... i hope you will forgive me if i didn't reply to you right away... or if i missed something important... as i just replied to very few threads...

Prayers to those in the tornado path today!! Be safe!!

Lavan, glad you got moved without mishap & got some sleep......and the most important of course is getting reconnected to all of us here on BT!!If that happens Monday then maybe not quite so much catching up to do?

Well it's raining again! Guess that beats getting wiped off the planet by wind so try not to complain too much.

Rags was just fine on our walk yesterday,in fact kept close to me so no worry about his running & breaking a leg.

Tootsie, congrats to your son for winning! Bet this week has gone by quickly with hubby gone & all the things you have gotten done. Hope the new shoes are helpful. I wear Birks all the time & find if I switch from clogs to sandals it helps me. I love that I can just slip them on/off. I also love Thor-Lo socks & keep trying to get all the diabetic's to wear them. They keep feet dry & have wonderful cushions. Make great gifts since they are very pricey.

I just turned on the Weather Channel & Kathy & Laurie are not safe just yet......please have a plan for where to get safe & very quickly!

I'll be happy when I know the storms are over & everyone is safe!

All this weird weather has me thinking of earthquakes here. Some of them have been rather scary & we are long overdue for one. I've always thought that Wyoming would be a good place to live, you never hear about much news going on there. And it is a beautiful state!

Happy everyone has missed being wiped off the map by tornadoes. Happy none of you are flooded. Happy you all have AC's!!

I'm wondering about this year's crops? Did the sunflowers get flattened in Kansas?

My dad lives on other side of WA state,he's had to replant his entire garden this year! Around here the fields are full of water & the crops are not doing well. Apple tree I pruned back severely is loaded with baby apples, better remember to thin it this year! And I'm seeing alot of wild mountain blackberrie's in bloom on the walk in the woods. The foxgloves aren't back though (or is it too early?)

Kathy, new grandbaby sounds like a good reason to get up every morning!

I have to chuckle every time I see the word nasturiums! The first thing I did when we moved into this house back in 76 was take the tiller and chew up the dirst all along our long driveway. I intended to have a row of nasturiums lining our driveway. What happened was I lost a lot of topsoil, lol. I never did see any blooms at all. Such hard work and not any thing of beauty to show for it, lol.

Happy storms blew through quickly so BBQ's can go on as planned!

Happy to wish all the Fathers in my family and everyone! Have a great day!

The main thing I'm happy for today is that last week is over with. There was just too much to do even though it was all eventually enjoyable.

Today we had our annual Father's Day brunch at church which is a fund raiser for sending all the children to camp this summer. DH preferred to sleep in and the casserole I made from a cook book turned out well. It was one of those "embellished" recipes using left overs from graduation night supper here.

Now, if only my neck would stop hurting. I was on my hands and knees pulling weeds for too long on Saturday. I need some serious, "on the floor" time. cheerio.

Even with a good night sleep, I still was way to drowsy at church. Bloodwork etc checked out fine just a short time ago, I was thinking I was not getting enough iron maybe.

Anyway I guess staying sleepy won't kill ya, lol

Had fun watching the kid catch lightning bug tonight. Makes one think back to when you weere able to do things like that.:p. Kid believes in releasing them as well so that was good.

I may be out for awhile but will be online when I can.

I'm in sorta a weird spot myself (mind wise) but I'm still hoping things will get better. If pain would, I know it would :p, always something

But at least this is a wonderful place to share.

I hope Javisi is home earlier than that 2 weeks but at least I hope they get her fixed up good this time!! Enough of that hospital stuff for her for sure.

happy that it was not raining this morning, between 7:30 and 8:30... i was able to remove most of the bigger weeds from my flower bed... it felt good to work in the soil... having all my hands dirty... then clean them with a brush... :p i had not done this for years... as for many years, i only grew herbs and flowers in clay pots...
*bunch

well, that might sound a little late compare to what the neighbourghs have already done... but since i'm new at this place, i wanted to let everything grow a little in there because there are some good green and green & white foliage growing too... so, i didn't want to pull everything out... anyways, i can't plant anything in the soil yet... i have to wait that the landlord sands and repaints the wood fence, as i don't want him to step in my flowers... i've decided to buy all perennials (with cocoa shells to cover the soil) - a little more expensive than annuals, but they will last much longer, with minimal care... well, i hope so... :D

happy to have renewed contact with an old friend that i had only met a few times 7 years ago and we had kept telephone contact for a bout 1 year... i met him again a few weeks ago... coincidence... at the art therapy centre where i go every other week... but he won't go back as he didn't like it there... he came over to help me a yesterday (for the 2nd time) unpacking some heavy boxes and doing a little bit of organizing in my shed... he might be able to come over once a week, for all morning... he learned that he had PD (Parkinsons) short after we lost contact... he gained some weight due to the medic. and lost a lot of his strength and energy...i find it very generous on his part to offer some help... he is an angel... to welcome me back in the city (suburb) after country living for over 13 years in 4 diff. places...

Hello group

Lavan that was a lot of moving but I can't help but be a bit envious as it must have been exciting getting to do that. Lot of hard work but nothing like a change every now and then to shuffle thing up! You are putting a lot of thought into how you are doing things so it can't help but to end up lovley.

This is as good a place as any to tell what happened last night. DaughterIL was on way out to meet my son at our house as I got to keep both grandkids yesterday afternoon :D.

Closer to our house ther was a car acting weird. Finally she saw why, they were abandoning a dog. She was talking to son on the phone when this happened.

Of course, she stopped and picked it up. Son went to fussing, we don't need a dog of course. I wish I knew how to post pics because it was such a cute puppy, couldn't be over 6 or 7 weeks old in my opinion!

I hope it works out that they keep it as grandson is already attached to it. Son's arguments are that they already had several dogs and it has ended up they give them away. Last time was our neighvor's dog, a registered Basset hound. But he was set in his ways and had always had another dog as a chum. He ended up at another town with DIL's sister as she had a dog that was lonley also. They both now are as happy as can be and are getting to be inside dogs. Toby must be so happy after always being a penned dog.

We'll see how this all play's out. I hope all for the best as I really did not want another dog myself but just know I'd hate to see that puppy go to a bad home.:p

Hi everyone,

I hope all is well for everyone, seems a busy time!

Joy, sometimes I am such an idiot! I posted somewhere you were upstream from Iowa or St. Louis, obviously my brain was AWOL that day and many since! I am so sorry, I sure hope you aren't in the way of the floods. I was very happy to see your post!

I have been wanting a dog for soooo long, but am just not healthy to have one. I don't think it would be fair since I never really know when I am able to walk or even get up.

We had a very long rain last night, a large storm passed us over the did a U turn and ame back and met another one in the process. Parts of Iowa were spared atleast that portion of rain.

Strange weather patterns. I blame global warming, something I was learning about in HS back in the 70's. It took a long time for folks to get the message.:(

Alexa/Daughter time was wonderful yesterday! I am getting really pi$$ed at my SIL, he is such a baby! And can be very passive agressive, it makes me want to slap him! I have to stop now or I will get even more upset! UUUURRRGGG!

I have done absolutely nothing all week, haven't been doing all that well and extremely tired. Pain, depression, brain fog, tired, I think I am in a flare I thought I had dodged.

Christina, I am so happy things went so well for your son! Versed is a wonderful drug, I wonder how they found out it was an amnesia drug? I find it both facinating and scary at the same time!

Catherine, I sure hope that catheter comes out soon and the pain subsides and doesn't come back!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Kathy

Kathy,

i hope you feel better soon... do you think that the full moon week has anything to do with your bad week... it does w many people and it certainly has for me... insomnia, mental hyperactivity and total exhaustion... then, the following week, i feel so sleepy and on the slooow moootion... we have to take care of what's happening with ourselves with compassion and loving kindness... and looots of patience...

apparently, most small dogs can be trained in the litterbox, so you don't have to walk them out every morning and night... and surprisingly enough, some breeds don't need very much exercice... and i'm not pulling your leg with a stuffed animal here... :D i wouldn't do that... since you would like to have a dog, i wish you one... http://bestsmileys.com/dogs/3.gif

happy to have done the first step to talk to a stranger outside the shopping centre yesterday... a woman in a wheelchair with a service dog... i was attracted to them by the dog's energy... the moment i started to look at the dog, he came to me... she said he was attracted to me because of my cane... i asked her if he was trained as a service dog, as he didn't have such identification... she said yes, and we can see it by the red scarf he always wears... she hired a personal dog trainer which costed her 1000$ spread over the first 3 years she had the dog... he is 9 years old today... she told me that he was her reason for living... i've wanted a dog for pet therapy as well as a service dog for a few years now... i'll have to find how i can have my landlord accept it... apparently if i can get a written prescription from a md, he could not refuse... i'll work on that... i've been reading some books and mags over the last 2 years... in order to get prepared...

We took both the dogs to the vet today and hubby was nice and paid for the little one too. I don't know if I mentioned this on other thread but his always (well usually anyway, cat pee has got the best of him at times, esp when it is on his expensive saw in garage, lol) been pretty good about me and my animals. It is him bringing them home at times. But after the four at one time the last time, we had said no more.

Anyway, both dogs got good check-ups. The vet said he thought the puppuy was a doxie and maybe a Chihuahua and weighed a whopping 1 and half pound! He thought it would do good to weigh 10 pounds when it is grown and he thought it was about 6 weeks old now.

I sure hope my son comes across for his wife and kid on this one, lol. Another thing that was funny was that today after we finished at the vet we took the puppy by DIL's work and everybody came out and oohed and awwed and hubby said at least 3 times I always said if I got another dog I was going to get a small one. It was ME that said several times how attatched the kid already was with the puppy. But I know hubby would not mind at all if we had to take over with the dog. He did say right now the dog belongs to me as my name is on papers at vet and I paid the bill. DIL will have to sign papers at vet but no way will we expect her to pay today's bill as I had told her last night we would help out. I told this especially in front of son when he mentioned how much it would cost for vet bills etc to raise a dog.

Well this one certainly won't eat much, lol! Black and tan with some white and soooo cute! So far, they have not found any messes in floor. He has an old towel to use right now and after all, there is not much of it right now. He did chew on my cord that my phone hangs on, just reminding me that puppies do chew. I know hubby is all for them keeping this one. After all, isn't almost 4 years old a good time for a child to get a dog? My first one was about 4 best I remember because she could not say I want to pet him. She would say petchit so we named the puppy Petchet.

gotta run, hubby needs computer, lol.

Well I missed that you moved that fast, I was thinking it was over a period of years. Whew, I can see where that would not be any fun at all moving that fast! But for someone like myself that has not moved much at all and in their 60's, I thought it might have a lot of new oppertunities & such. It's same old same old for me day after day now it seems, especially since I can't get out and do much to the landscaping. Or inside for that matter, lol.

Joy,glad the puppy is healthy & will be small dog, less mess, etc.

Happy to be alive today since we had a deer bolt in front of the truck yesterday, on a long country road with no cell reception! A young buck with lots of fuzz on his horns (or whatever they are called). The truck would have got the best of a hit-I nearly had a heart attack tho!

Animals I met yesterday were far more interesting than the stuff I bought. One was an Akita/lab mix,she was white with a curly tail & she had brown freckles on her nose! Really cute. The lady also had a friendly cat, part Himalyan & part grey tabby with beautiful blue eyes. I always come home smelling of other dogs so Rags has to sniff me out really good. I bought him a floppy earred stuffed bunny,we call it Fluffy so he won't confuse it with "no bunny!!". Too bad Sissy doesn't understand that command since she snuck another bunny upstairs. If I could drive I swear I'd take her to the shelter! Anyway Rags played with his new toy all afternoon.....it might last a month before he begins to pick it apart.

Happy I don't need to do much today or go anywhere,I overdid it yesterday in my quest for goodies. Then was craving Chinese food & ate too much for lunch, came home & slept for 2 hours! Then worked until dark cleaning stuff I bought.

Woops,I'm on the wrong thread! Oh well......

Happy everyone is still writing here & keeping this thread going even though Laurie isn't able to be here too often.

Joy,tell hubby you need a new kitchen since you can't get a new house!

Take care all,Pati

My major things to be happy for today is that I'm doing absolutely nothing.

The latest fires in the hills have all been relatively minor and put out quickly. There wasn't much loss of property but in one case, it was impossible to get animals out. In one incident, all the animals got in the trailer but the horse refused to get in. The young girl, led it out by hand with her mother following in the car with the trailer. Finally, after a period of time, they got to a safe place. Scary! They housed the animals at the county fair grounds.

Latest family graduation, housewarming and birthday celebration was fun but tiring...I made the usual veggie dip tray. Cheerio.

I can't be the only one that hates to guess whether it is a C or an 0 etc. No guessing today and then maybe I can go back to spotting things at a distance like I used too!

Happy to have this place to get my mind off mundane things at home

Really happy to have grandkids that make it worth hanging in there and staying to face more of the same.

aah that puppy was sooo cute again yesterday. I was funny to be behing him and watch his little ears flap when he ran. And his little legs, how they looked from behind as he did that running, with his tiny tail stuck up in the air.

Happy the fog is starting to lift.

Happy there are no storms in the forecast for the next few days. My sun lite in the bathroom is leaking and dripping into the bathtub along with a bunch of plaster.
This is the first time this has ever happened, so it is probably time for a new roof. Bummer cuz, I think I will be paying this one myself. No large hail to cause damage so the roof, or enough wind to blow the shingles off. So I have to figure out how to pay for it:(

I need a new method myself,I hate saying what is what. And I just got a new RX last year & I swear the bifocal part is wonderful but I still can't see a darn thing far away & can't even tell the bunnies from the squirrell until I see it's big tail!I'm thankful everyday for not being blind & I mean that literally since last eye doc said I was going blind from the diabetes. Ponygirl we are playing computer tag this afternoon. It is good to "see" you.

Buttons, yep, last time that I even came close to admitting I might be depressed just a bit was in 02, after the doctor mentioned cataracts, that retina word and macular degeneration plus something else.

Now that would make me happy, to get to really see what you all look like. Pictures are nice but there is nothing like seeing something for yourself!!

UUUm and I agree with whoever said Whales was a pretty place. I've seeen pictures and think it must be awfully swell, lol.

I was looking at pic of Samoa, a really pretty beach place but I think I love green and mountains more. And places that change temperatures for year round living. Sunny places are nice for visits but I do like fall so would not want to give that up.

I do do pretty good with just two fingers on my typing most of the time, don't I, lol. It was the last 5 (should be spelled out five) of work that made me so concentiosious. And that's spelled wrong but I'm not going to change it. But if I see a mistake usually, I JUST HAVE to correct it unless I am in so much pain I can't stand it, lol. THAT is what will keep me off the computer one of these days I'm afraid.

I guess the major thing for me to be happy about today is that I have a house with plenty of books, magazines, hobbies and DH to keep me company. I was outdoors to water tomatoes and roses, and went to Costco, and have been coughing ever since. The air quality is awful but according to the news only "moderately" bad. We have no fires in the area, but the wind is blowing the smoke south from the fires in No. Calif. Then tomorrow the wind will change and we will get the smoke from Big Sur. Flights have been delayed and we cannot see the mountains surrounding the valley for the smoke. We have much to be thankful for. Cheerio.

There is a 10 lane intersection (5 lanes east west and 5 lanes north south) that we frequently go through and I remember that I was heartbroken when they tore down the woods and old farm houses to develop the car lots and the theater (which is now closed). In the center of that intersection under the light is a crack in the concrete and every summer in that crack grows a patch of bright green grass that lasts all summer long. I smile every time I see it and give a quiet little cheer. Good for you mother nature!!!!

Big Yellow Taxi
by Joni Mitchell

They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
With a pink hotel, a boutique
And a swinging hot spot

Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Till it's gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot

They took all the trees
Put 'em in a tree museum
And they charged the people
A dollar and a half just to see 'em

Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Till it's gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot

Hey farmer farmer
Put away that DDT now
Give me spots on my apples
But leave me the birds and the bees
Please!

Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Till it's gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot

Late last night
I heard the screen door slam
And a big yellow taxi
Took away my old man

Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Till it's gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot

They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot

i really think this is going to make a difference in his life, now and when he looks back on it.

it really feeds my soul to make another person happy or help them grow in some way.

i'm just floating on a cloud!

:) happy planting (the shrubs) got started yesterday... and will most likely continue tomorrow... with the help of a big-hearted friend, even though he does not have more strenght and energy than me... he has Parkinson's Disease...

:) happy to have been able to put some order in the way my boxes are stacked... and find my clothes... and utensils...

Lavan,I'm so glad you are getting settled in now. Weekdays will be peaceful eh? Well that's better than nothing I suppose! It's nice you have a friend to help, and since I've known a couple of people with Parkinson's I realize how important it is for them to feel useful & have company also. Good for you!

I'm wondering if Laurie is home now? Seems like Kathy posted somewhere that she was?

I'm happy it's summertime! Warm weather really helps my spirits! I stay outside as much as possible. I can smell my sweetpeas & carnations in the air.

Happy I got a child desk & chair painted today,I used 4 cans of spray paint so might not be able to move my fingers tomorrow!

Happy a dear BT friend has got a steady job & a new house to live in! Her name is Mama Sue on BT & she's been through more tragedy in her young life than we could ever imagine.......her story makes me ashamed to EVER complain about anything.

Find a reason to smile today about something!

The happiest news I've heard today was that Laurie was home from the hospital! If you stop by, that will be even better news as it will mean that you feel well enough to say "hello."

I guess the greatest blessing I have is to be in a nice, comfortable home and not worrying about wildfires.

My garden is coming along nicely but I don't know who to thank for doing the watering at my class plot. Every time I stop in to water and pull a few weeds, the ground is damp. At home, my roses are blooming prolifically, and tomatoes getting larger. Cheerio.

What made me happy yesterday was after coming home from work (work was unplanned), sitting on the front porch watching the automatic sprinklers come on to water the front lawn. This might seem weird, but Paula and I were sitting on the front porch, the sprinklers came on and we just sat and watched the mist and water droplets form on the front lawn; we watched the mist hit the bottom leaves on tree out front and drop into the flower bed below. Sitting there together taking it all in and feeling the cool breeze from the mist was refreshing...peaceful.

LOL, I know, I work too much :)

Take care of you,

Today has been a good time to remember the wonderful barbequed tri-tip, salmon and chicken along with a musical treat at a friends home. There were fiddlers, harpists, banjo's, guitars, pipes of all kinds, tin whistles, and a piano. All was Irish or Scottish folk music, and really enjoyable.

It has been cooler, and the air quality much improved with a gentle breeze keeping the smoke over the ocean.

Here's hoping Laurie is able to regain some of her health and strength. We're all still waiting for that wedding and the roses should be blooming now. Cheerio.

Ed,that's a wonderful description of shared time with Paula! And don't ever work too much.....not worth it!

Tootsie,my area just had "Highland Games" and I wondered how those dancers can stand to wear wool in 90 degree weather?

I'm happy to see my son stop by unexpectantly,he plays with my dog. And he finally has relief from horrid allergies after many years (glad he's not allergic to dogs/cats). He's happier than I've ever seen him with new girlfriend that I'm anxious to meet.

Happy the weather is still beautiful here!

Happy I called my folks & talked to Mom & kept the conversation off her health or anything important,I've discovered talking about shared memories of the past is the best.Funny how she recalls the details of past events but gets mixed up with daily reality.

Happy I have lots of stuff for my sale & am making headway in getting it all ready. Nice weather helps to clean stuff outside.

Laurie,if you are reading I hope you get to be outside under shade trees & can smell your roses! We look forward to having you join us again someday soon I hope! Keep dreaming of that wedding day with your special guy!

listening to my shortcake sing the songs he learns in school when he thinks no one is really paying attention.

He loves music, we have to wait for the credits to finish at the end of all the movies and sometimes have to listen 2 or 3 times just for the music, if I am here he will listen over and over or just leave the DVD in for the credit music or the background music at the beginning, he had me download some soundtrack bits from some of his favorite PS2 games, kind of jazzy, loves to mess with his big keyboard that he got for Christmas a couple of years ago, mom has learned to tune it out or bop to the beat even if in the same room, drives dad nuts teehee. Sometimes he asks if he can listen to some of my music then will get out my CD case and go through and pick something. Loves to dance, tries break dancing, I groan every time he throws himself on the floor for a spin lol.

Okay I just took a break to play with Chloe and told shortcake that it was too bad that the dog wouldn't play with her and as usual, wise beyond his years, he says, "but he doesn't speak ferret" as though the language barrier was the problem all along. Well makes sense to me lol.

Tonight's salad had home grown tomatoes in it....bliss. This weekend we should have the first taste of green beans. My onions are huge but can't think of a good way to use them raw other than hamburgers or tacos. It's the first time I've successful grown bulb onions. The entire gardening class placed a commercial order from a mail order firm. It was highly successful, but I only asked for about 10. There were enough of us that only wanted a small amount, but could order a significant number, as a group, for a big discount.

We did a trial night of dog sitting for our "grand dog." She finally settled down about 2 AM so DH and I are short on sleep. It will be early to bed tonight. DS and his family are going on vacation soon and are getting the 7 mo. old pup, used to staying with gramma and grampa. Cheerio.

That's one of my reasons to be happy today. We only picked enough for supper, but there will be many more in a few days.

At a Senior Men's League barbeque yesterday, we bought 6 raffle tickets and I got to pick when the first number called was one of ours! There were several choices, bottles of wine, wood craft items and lapidary jewelry made in the shops at the Senior Center. I picked a wonderful wooden basket shaped like half a watermelon, painted green with a red sides and "seeds" painted on the sides that are flat. It is so cute! I never win anything and it makes me smile every time I look at it. Cheerio.

I decided to start the day off like I did while traveling, so I showered and put on makeup. I hope I get that feeling of sticking to a task and can accomplish something today. I really don't get much done on the days that I stay with a project. But the least amount of something I get done is well, something done, lol. It doesn't make much of a dent in the scheme of things but I am happy when I at least feel up to trying. For that feeling I am happy.

I did see a very skinny rabbit at my back yard feeder yesterday. Tho I still haven't the hordes of squirrels and birds that I did before I left, I will keep on trying. I feel sure by this winter my efforts will pay off.

I love checking in and seein other familiar names that have been on since I was last here. And especially happy when I see a new poster to our group and my hope is that everyone will stay and visit and be in good health and return soon. For those that need other things because of bad health, situations, etc, I hope they find a place anywhere at BT and join in and hopefully find comfort somehow like I do when things are bad at home for whatever reason.

Laurie, I am still hoping to see a post from you and just know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Joy, I did the same thing today...got up and put a load of wash in before eating breakfast, just to get the day started in hope that I could get some thing accomplished. Well, it all started out well, but when I need to sit down for awhile, I have a tendency to get lost in the Sudoku, Crossword, or the newspaper.

I did get some birthday presents wrapped for next month. There are 4 family birthdays, and two anniversaries in August so we have one grand party to celebrate them all. My DD recently had the backyard of their home completely regraded, landscaped, etc. Nothing had been done since they moved in almost 16 years ago and the dog pretty much demolished anything that had been planted before them. He's been gone almost 2 years now, so it was time. Part of the plan was a "backyard kitchen" so I've bought a few things to stock that....new colanders, a plastic crudites tray with blocks to freeze, etc.

As usual, I didn't get as much accomplished as I wanted but there's a dent in the clutter! That's progress, right? :D Cheerio.

Wish I could share some of this 102 degrees of warmth with someone who needs it, lol.

Glad we made it back home from a fast trip to lake to retrieve a trailer we need to return

Glad I got to go swimming while there.

All the talk of onions reminds me, while in the lake, a couple went upon their pontoon and had supper of sandwiches. They had onion as well as everyone that was in the lake could smell that onion. It smelled wonderful I must admit.

There must have ben at least 4 if not 5 pontoons of older people. I say older but they may not have been. Hubby has white hair too like most of them. I am just a few months older than hubby, yet I have hardly any grey hairs at all. There must have been 12 or 15 couples but just three young kids. A nice paved place and shallow too. They were having so much fun so we just joined in too while we were swimming there.

I am sorry if this does not make any sense. My computer keyboard is messed up. It is having delayed , yep, delayed

My main reason for being happy today, is that I have finished sewing up all the seams on this table covering I've been working on all summer....and mostly procrastinating about. There were 5 yards of material to gather and pin to the top part and I am so very, very glad to have that done. In addition, I didn't get more than 2 or 3 of the gathers caught in the seam to rip out and do over.

Now, I need to press the seams and finish them off so they don't ravel. Then, I will truly celebrate.

Yesterday, I had to see the on call dentist when my temporary crown came loose. I took advantage of being in a different part of town and visited a consignment store. Oh, my....Pati, you would have gone nuts. There were just so many wonderfully old, heavy, sturdy, well made pieces. Dining room tables, hutches with lead glass pieces in the doors, leather sectionals, old iron trellises and arches from some ancient garden. There was one huge overstuffed chair with an ottoman, done in a white brocade...totally impractical but gorgeous, and immaculate.

I found one thing my daughter could use in her business and called her today to tell her. She has taxes to pay in Sept so can't really spend any money right now but she was impressed with my finds.

I have trouble being on my feet for any length of time, so don't do much browsing or window shopping anymore. It sure does help the budget though as I can get quite impulsive at times. Cheerio.

Oh I am so happy that you have a pet. Now your gardening will be all that much more happier. I hope that lab in your dog makes it as sweet as the lab part of my dog does him.

This is the happy thread so I will say that I was awfully happy to take our dog along on our trip to the lake. He does NOT love the loading though, as he knows it will be a long ride.

He followed hubby and grandchild all the way down a steep hill to the docks and back. It was such a long undertaking for him as he is usually very sedate. I did notice him giving way to one of his hips after the trip. Hubby said it might also be the rocks in the gravel as he does not walk on gravel that often.

In any case, we all made it safely home and had a good time and that's all that counts!

I will love hearing more about GAYA.

When my grand-daughter tells me she loves me that makes me smile and glow inside.

Either kids know more these days or I forget how smart my kids were...that was a long time ago. Hannah is about 3 1/2 years old and she is sharp as a pin. I also have an Emma that is about 5 weeks old and Troy is 3 months old.

Paula needs my attention, but I have homework from work too :(

Smiles for you :)

Happy again to have ac as it is 95 with dew points in the 70's, so it is also very humid!

Happy I was able to donate 2 fans to the Salvation army to help the elderly with the heat. Some have no ac, so a fan is atleast a bit of a help.

Happy my Aunt is doing well and taking things in stride and good humor!

Happy as always to have a wonderful support system here with all of you! (((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) and a ton of thanks!

Guess I better come up with some happy thoughts before I win the cranky prize for the week......

Let's see, happy not all my flowers were destroyed by bugs.

Happy I haven't seen a snake for several days

Happy I can come here & read about lakes, pontoon's and Ed's grandchildren (which I didn't realize existed until now).

Happy to know Tootsie is an impulse buyer just like I am!

Happy my dog got to go for a ride today since it's certainly not too warm & he misses his car rides I'm sure.

I've been wondering how Laurie is doing? Hopefully she will join us one of these days! And what happened to Phyllis?

This weather is giving me the creeps,it's very still outside & overcast. We had a little earthquake today not far from here......I hope to never experience the big one!

Old friends
Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room’s only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back.

The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation. And every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color of the rainbow. Grand old trees graced the landscape, and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.

As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene. One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by. Although the other man couldn’t hear the band – he could see it in his mind’s eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.

Days and weeks passed. One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.

As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone. Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the world outside. Finally, he would have the joy of seeing it for himself.

He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed. It faced a blank wall.

The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window. She responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall. She said, “perhaps he just wanted to encourage you”.

Epilogue: There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situation. Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled. If you want to feel rich, just count all of the things you have that money can’t buy. Time waits for no one. Treasure every moment you have. You will treasure it even more when you can share it with someone special.

Hi ya Gaya's human, lol. I just love that piece of writing, sorry I do get my words out wrong lots of times. I read that a looomg time ago somewhere and it has always stuck in my memory. I hope it stays there as long as there is a from joy to remember it.

I am still seeing the magpies and the deer etc and now I have some help as hubby has them part of our screensavers. No wonder I love the computer room so much,

I saw my brother yesterday and except for a repeating sinus infection, he looked great. The heat and humidity are killing us here.

I am as of this morning getting ready to put out more humming bird nectar. They have been staying a bit longer at the feeders at the windows as if to say HEY, remember us, lol.

I am missing hearing from Laurie and my prayers are that she is just busy with her grandchildren. I know she loves them to pieces and she must be a good one.

I hope everyone has a nice weekend with plenty of things to keep them busy and then restful nights. Take care

Today brought a bright blue sky, warm sun and lovely breeze. It's been wonderful to have clear air and blue sky again since all the fires began weeks ago.

Today I picked a bumper crop of green beans and will have to decide whether to try and can some, freeze some or try and eat them all. All my local relatives are away on vacation, so no one close by, that I want to share the bounty with. Tomatoes are still ripening slowly and I even bought some on Thursday. Today there were 3 ripe ones.

We have "grand dog," Maggie staying with us. I think she's very bored with us senior citizens and misses the turmoil of the teens in her "pack." Cheerio.

I'm happy that I finally got out some of that hummingbird sweet stuff. I spilled one whole batch after I burnt the first one, lol. But finally success!!

I am happy that my g-kid seems to be better tonight.

I am excited as we are going to fence our farm and a friend is going to place maybe four horses on the land. Yeah, horses to be able to feed and hopefully g-kid can ride more often. I'm wondering if a platform could be built and maybe I could get brave enough to try it myself :D. Of course the horse would have to go to platform at the end of ride as well since I am stiff as a board and numb and can't do some stuff. But it sure is fun to think about (funnier for you all to picture I bet) :D:D;):p

Lavan, thanks for sharing that,I'd never read it before & I know it will stick in my mind now.

Joy,glad the critters are coming back! I thought the coyotes had gotten all the bunnies here but some are still around. Yesterday the squirrell let the bunny know the cracked corn wasn't gonna get shared!

Tootsie,I bet the doggie will have fun or force some! You might be surprised how well the dog will adapt.

Very happy to wake up to sunshine this morning! Might even feel like summer today.

Happy I tried a new recipe for diabetic's and it was good, miracle I remembered how to make it cause it was a TV thing I happened to see.

Happy my oldest son finally stopped by yesterday. I've decided to let go of worry over his future for now,he's gonna do what he's gonna do afterall.......

Happy my New Guinea impatient is having a comeback finally from my overwatering....I can see it from my computer.

:) happy GAYA love playing freesbee... as i love it too... and she's very good at catching it... i'll have to buy her a real dog one :) as she has ruined the 2nd one from the dollarstore in 2 bites... kong makes good rubbery ones, but i'll have to let her try it in the pet shop to see if she likes it... because she does not like the kong toys at all, even with the biscuits she likes in them... and i think it may be because of the awful rubber smell...

i'll check with the people who do competitions to see which ones they use... as the flying freesbees on youtube are too small for me to see the brand name on them... there is a border collie breeder in ottawa, so i'll call him...

I was happy to see my grand-daughter, Emma, confirmed? at church. Not quite awake here yet, west coast time. It is where they present a new born to the congregation and give them a blessing. It was very touching and we were glad we went :-)

It is good to hear that a internet friend is seeing some improvement in her son :) :)! As a mother I know how much this means and am happy for that too.

It was good to hear my daughter say that granddaughter was happy to be home with her. So happy that in fact she sat on her mother's lap. She usually doesn't do that so this was good to hear.

I have recently heard from a cousin that I have not seen since I was a small child. Good to know how he is doing and still alive and well enough to e-mail me. Hey I'm 62 and he is older. Haven't you all heard that some old folks don't know how to use computers, lol. :D :o ;)

I made more bird nectar. That's good that I didn't have any smoke but I just now realised that I just did this the other day   My memory is getting bad. Anyhow, back to work

Have a good day
