Good Morning!
Due to a problem with my arms I will no longer be able to work my "regular" job after December 1. I am however a photographer on the side, when pain levels allow me to be. I am looking for any advice and/or feedback regarding trying to sell some of my pictures on e - bay for some sort of income after I am no longer able to work.
Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you!!

Interesting you should ask... A good friend of mine from the forums here was thinking of doing the same. The only advice I can give you is check into copyrighting your work. And also a good watermark program. One that includes digital watermark so that if some one manages to get a copy of the picture you post in the ebay ad, they should NOT be able to alter it or take credit for it. Nothing is fool proof of course, but at least if you take preventive measures, your chances of maintaining your work as YOURS are much better.

Here is a great, free site to get you started on eBay. I'm a mentor there. It's called DOUA = Disabled Online Users Association. http://www.doua.org

No, it's not a scam! It's legit and very helpful. Hope to see you there!

I have a ton of pics online on my own site. And watermarking is a must.. Check into ASI Watermark software. It is relatively inexpensive and can do 1 or a thousand pictures at a time..

JUST MAKE SURE you do not overwrite the originals.. You can tell it to make a new picture..

There are also tons of picture sites on the net where you can upload your images and offer them for download. There you get a percentage of the cost payed. Maybe 25%. It is different amongst the sites..

I have a friend that has put her pictures up on everyone of these sites she can find, and she is makeing a few hundred bucks a month, albeit a quarter at a time, it is still money!

You would probably be better off in the long run signing up for www.istockphoto.com - used by webmasters and graphic artists across the world.

I have used it since it's inception a few years ago and have watched it grow beyond anything I could have imagined.

You might want to check out www.deviantart.com and maybe www.morguefiles.com as well - these don't pay but they do have a huge userbase of artists and photographers.

I would sell photos - and get into photoshop.

Start editing pictures, and do that for contract jobs!

(search craigslist, you will probably come across something)
