Good morning! Anyone superstitious???

Here's a reading for today -

Treasure the effort

Effort can be painful or it can be joyful. Which would you prefer?

You can resent the tasks that you must do, and fight against them with all that you have. But what would that really accomplish, except to make you miserable?

Or, you can be thankful for the opportunity to make a difference. You can put your best into whatever effort may be asked of you, and thereby enjoy a kind of satisfaction that cannot be obtained in any other way.

You can choose to find real fulfillment in meeting the challenges. You can choose to experience true joy in making a worthwhile effort.

The task is what it is. Your attitude is what you decide it is going to be.

Treasure the effort and you'll move effectively through it. Treasure the effort, and you'll joyfully create solid, lasting value.

-- Ralph Marston

~~~~~~~
I learned some time ago that the more I 'dread' doing something, the harder it is to do the task without feeling quite miserable. However, when I see things as opportunities for growth, I tend to find it easier to do whatever the task is as well as feeling better about myself in the process. It's true that attitude makes a HUGE difference in how I view the world and my part in it! :D
Hope everyone is having an addiction-free day! :)
One day till my birthday! Yeah! I am still waiting for my car to get done. I have had a month of trouble with my transmission. Today is the first time I missed a day of work over it. Oh well, now I have 6 days off instead of 5 and I lose no money in doing so. I also have a clear conscience due to the fact that I honestly tried to get a loaner car from a friend or the shop. Here's hoping I get my car today! If not, I will deal with it as it comes. Life is pretty good today. Recovery has made it manageable. Today I can meet calamity with serenity. The promises are coming true even still. As long as I practice an active recovery program, I will be okay. Not perfect, who is? I am happy and that is a blessing!:D
