reading BB's post. I'm back on short acting meds only (other than neurontin).

Why do those work better than long acting AND breakthru (which I used to be on)?

He combined the percs with ultram. This is the combo that had made me able to do stuff.

Usually it works the other way, but remember everyone is different.
I would do what works for you. At least you know if there ever comes a day that it doesn't work that lots of options are still out there for you.

The short acting meds may seem to work better because it gives you a bigger initial burst of meds while the long acting meds slowly release their meds.
