Will be 4-9. We're leaving on the 8th as he should be there at 5 am - and it's a 3 hour trip anyway.
He'll be splinted after surgery - goes for a cast on the 19th. Back for a different one in May and in June. If all goes well - it'll be removed in July. Then physical therapy starts.
Poor guy thinks he'll be able to work as a bagger at the commissary on the 13th of April. Riiiiight.
and he thinks he'll be able to play football in August. He'll be lucky to wrestle in October - as this takes at least 6 months to recover from. Hopefully him being young and healthy will quicken the recovery.
I had to email his dad and tell him I doubt he'll be in Texas with him this summer- I doubt the surgeon would allow another one to do what might be the final follow up. Plus tricare probably won't pay for John to have PT out of 'region'.
I found 3 civilian families (couldn't get help from the military ones) to take care of my other boys - so hubby and I will be a.l.o.n.e. in a hotel room. Hmmm that hasn't happened in over 10 yrs!
