Another who needs to quit

I am off work at the moment. problems with epilepsy. I am going onto sickness benefits. For financial reasons I have to quit. ah well, and it's better for my health if I do quit anyway. I know all the reasons about health and smoking but it hasn't made me stop but the fact I am now finacially strapped, it has just hit me I have to stop.....I have no choice.

So, I just smoked the last ciggie I had.


I'm going cold turkey :eek: but have done it before with many years success. I started smoking again when I was travelling around the world...too many pub visits ect.

Just tell us the day of your first smoke free day and you'll be added Roobarb, I am glad you're giving them up, it will make you feel so much better. teddiebears will add you after you tell us the day you gave them up for good. :) If you go tomorrow with no smoking then it would be tomorrow the day you went smoke free, so good luck! You can do it! :D

Congratulations on quitting, all of you! I just spotted this in here and I thought that my name should be on there too. I have been free of cigarettes for 3 yrs and 4 months! I quit in December of 2003. I knew that I had to quit. Got real sick that year and I went w/o them for 3 weeks. When I got to feeling better, I decided to go to the store for a pack. Then I said, Wait a Minute! Haven't had one since.
This whole "community" that's in here is very cool, I think! ~Sandy;)
