Just a personal note-gripping really. Fred Meyer's Zesty fat-free Italian dressing must be contaminated with gluten even though it doesn't say on it's pre 2006 label. It's been so long now that I know the hypoglycemia is from gluten as well as the classic bathroom symptom.

Heard of hypoglycemia being a symptom? Thanks for listening.

I have... in a couple of different places... one being a book from the 70's that looked at historical connections of proven links with schizophrenia and hypoglycemia and great results achieved with a gf/cf diet along with super portions of vitamin supplements.

There have been articles about hypoglycemia that is related to CD in those with diabetes. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?db=pubmed&cmd=Retrieve&dopt=AbstractPlus&list_uids=11176322&query_hl=1&itool=pubmed_docsum

Before going GF I would have frequent spells of low blood sugar. That does not happen now that I am GF. Of course I have greatly reduced my carbs. Before going GF I was eating huge amounts of bread and now it is rare that I even eat a cookie - was it the carbs or was it the gluten:confused:

Now that I was symptom free for months the symptoms of gluten contamination are clearer. The bathroom symptoms last 3 days and the hypoglycemia last longer. Maybe 5 or 6. I was borderline high glucose during my last pregnancy and my last blood work before going gf was high normal. No doubt, even with double DQ1 I would have become diabetic had I not gone gf. Thanks to all of you I did!:)
