:D Daily toothbrushing (once a real torture session) has gotten to be so routine that Andrew will do it without supervision (typically Mom or Dad stood behind him showing him where to brush while we looked in the mirror together).

This morning, I loaded up the "zizzy" toothbrush (electric), Andrew started brushing, and I went to tidy up the kitchen after breakfast. The brush ran for a while, the typical sink and bathroom noises finished, he left the bathroom, and I yelled from the kitchen "Did you get your teeth all brushed, even the ones in the back?" The usual response is "Sure" muttered to himself and then I always need to check to see if he even had put the brush in his mouth. This morning I heard "Yes, see how shiny they are?" as he walked into the kitchen to show me!

DH was in the boys' bedroom getting clothes out for school and he came running out asking if he was hallucinating or if Andrew had actually said what he thought he heard. Yep, smiles all around at our house this morning, and some very shiny teeth!:D

GRINS and MORE GRINS!!!!
THAT is terrific!!!!! :)

Maybe someday, someday, I too will get to bask in the jubilation of one of my son's successful toothbrushing. Hope, always hope.

MERCY! he got it! your dh didn't pass out... ?

i remember when nursing my youngest boy at the tender age of 2 months old, he did something i don't remember what, so i commented about it and he broke in a belly laugh loud enough to get my dh and ds away from the tv, saying, "that was the baby, babies don't laugh at that age". Evidently, this one did and now close to his third decade, that baby never again had that belly laugh...., oh, he is a nt as nt as they come.
