Just need to vent.
Last September I applied for new life insurance as my old contract was at its end. I had to fill out an application that was incredibly long, and obviously asked about my medical history. Of course I listed my RSD.
So I just got a letter from them that said they cannot offer me life insurance at the standard rate - I've been bumped to Table B, which is a 150% higher premium. They specifically cited my RSD as the reason.
Now I know that RSD is life altering, but it is not life threatening in itself, especially considering mine is one of the more mild cases.
I know that some of you might beg to differ because of the higher suicide rate, but that is not an issue in my individual circumstance.
Anyway, I'm just venting.
